Probably my least favorite slice that I've ever tried in the city. Flavor combo just not there. Win some lose some.

I was told by a friend to go to Famous Original Ray's Pizza. I thought, well you can get pizza from anywhere in New York, right? WRONG! Don't go anywhere but Ray's or you will be so disappointed!!! Ray's Original was amazing, outstanding, delicious, perfect pizza. We went around lunch time on a Saturday and they had so many fresh,... More

Read about this place on Tripadvisor and we stayed a block away at Loews Regency. Little neighbourhhod place with no frills. Very basic. The pizza was far from basic though! Ordered a large Pepperoni and it was delicious. Seriously, excellent. Nice thin crust, enough cheese and meat. Would certainly go there again.

There are so many different New York Style pizza places in New York (shocking, I know), and everyone has their favorites. For me, Famous Original Rays is probably in the top 3. It's not my absolute favorite, but if you're on Lexington, near midtown, this is the place to go. A very traditional slice with limited frills, go with a... More

Had "everything" pizza which was super tasty and filling. The place itself is not air conditioned which can be a problem in a hot day. Our conclusion: Takeout!

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
