Very high quality, tasty fish on omakaze, but a bit conventional choices and prob a bit over priced for what you get, however comparable to many other local sushi joints. Very nice atmosphere and service.

Stopped in for a late dinner. My husband opted for the 12 piece chef's choice and got a wide array of flavors and sushi. It was. great way to try things we wouldn't have normally ordered. He's pretty picky with flavors and didn't like all...of them, but I thought they were excellent and quite unique. It's a bit of a chance to try one piece that you're not sure you're going to like, but it was fun if you're a sushi fan and could stumble upon something you really like.More

This is an excellent sushi restaurant. Service is good. Sushi is made to order. Few non-seafood options. A good list of sakes. Expect to pay $100/person.

This was a terrible experience. We had a 6:00 reservation for the omakase and showed up 10 minutes early. The "greeter" angrily told us to wait outside, even though the place was open and people were inside. This has never happened to use before. A...minute later, another couple went in and were seated. We kept standing outside until this blonde server "invited" us in. Then we were seated at the sushi bar in front of a block of wood. Unable to see the chef at all. The place was empty so this made no sense. The servers (all non-Asian) had attitudes and the sushi chef did not speak to us at all. Terrible. The place looks like a cheap sushi joint where you would pay $15 for a sushi deluxe. Almost $300 for two omakase and two sakes. Nothing else. We were so hungry afterward we had to get food elsewhere. The sushi was OK, but very small size and common types. Don't go here. For a little bit more money you can have REAL omakase and be treated with respect.More

I went to Dojo, beacause it was next door when I stayed in New York. I was in for a surprise for a „Sushi place next door“. The menue suggests that they are after high standards. The place is very authentic down to earth. The...service is superb and the Sushi outstanding. The quality of the fish, the selection as well as the very craftful preparation. By far the best Sushi I had in a long time.More

Like the title, we came for the omakase. The place is small and cozy, and the service was really good. Very attentive. The food was outstanding. It’s a modern take on omakase and we thoroughly enjoyed their twist on sushi with foe gras and truffles....For the quality of dishes, the meal was good valueMore

Excellent omakase. Sit at the bar and enjoy the creative pieces of sushi. Surprising combinations that all seem to work.

Stepping into Sushi Dojo is like taking me back to Tokyo. If you’re only two or three people I would 100% recommend asking for a seat at the sushi bar. The chefs are clearly passionate and extremely skilled at what they do and it’s amazing...to watch and to chat to them about the dishes. We usually do one of the Omakase options. They have good variety of options that are more economical or more high end. This time we went with the sushi and sashimi omakase which is $120. I am a lovely or Uni and fatty tuna and knew I would get these on the more high end menu. I’ve started with the edamame and shishito peppers. The shishito peppers are delicious. They are friend in a very very light tempura batter and we actually got a good amount of spicy ones, which made us very happy... but watch out if you don’t like spice. Our waiter was Salvatore and he was extremely knowledgeable about the fish and the Sake and make some great recommendations. He can also give you a free to taste or one or two if you aren’t sure what type of Sake you like. He was a brilliant server and gave great recommendations. Been here a few times and never been disappointed. I will post a few pics below but also you can see more of the food gems in NYC on my insta @traveling_secret_dinerMore
