I went to abc Cocina as a part of restaurant week. I found what I ordered (generally salads) to be quite the explosion of flavor, odd combinations of texture, and overwhelming at times. However, my friend ordered the meats on the menu and found them to be a simple, delicate balance of flavors that complimented each other. The service, even when busy, was some of the fastest service I have ever experienced in a higher-end NYC restaurant, which I immensely appreciated. All in all, I would go again, but I would not eat what I ordered again.

I visited ABC Cocina for lunch. As a JG fan, I wanted to expand my experience with his brand. The restaurant was warm with a rustic wood decor. The hostess gave a hearty hello and welcome upon arrival. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and able to suggest several vegan options. I ordered the mushroom kale tacos and kale pumpkin salad. I highly recommend both and look forward to a future visit.

Beautiful Latin option in a funky area between Gramercy and Union Square. Really enjoyed the ground beef empanadas and the crunchy mexican spiced french toast for brunch. Would give it a “5” but nearly destroyed my right shoulder on a structural beam coming up the stairs from the bathroom. They need better lightning there. Cuidado!

Ambience was nice, the staff were super helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be that the food was average at best for the prices they have. We went for my birthday lunch and spent over $200 and at the end of the meal, none of us really enjoyed the food, even having to send something back. The fish tacos were nice but not much flavor and very mushy and vinegary, the squid was very chewy and dry. The octopus was a bit chewy but nonetheless tasted very good & the kiwi cocktail was excellent. I recommend ending your meal with the churros because they were nice. But 3/5 because although service was good and the setting was nice, the food was just not great.

The food is excellent, but the service is awful. We had to cancel a dish that never showed up. And then we paid the bill. Only to be told that we had been charged close to $100 by mistake, but thank good, we would be refunded in 3 days. No apologies, no explanation why. We asked to talk to the manager who told us that this was about as big as a mistake as any restaurant could make. But no effort to apologise or whatever. He left us his e-mail: mgrosch@abckitchens.nyc when I asked how he would make us whole. Awful.

Great atmosphere and set up. Supposedly the menu changes frequently. I didn't think there were that many good options for a main dish/big protein dish. Lots of cool starters and small plates though. Margarita pitcher is a great move. Pricing is okay.

This is a great place!! Originally we wanted to go to ABC Kitchen but opted for ABC Cocina. Omg we ate so much and couldn't even finish the food. EVERYTHING was delicious!! The lates are for sharing and I definitely recommend this restaurant. Keep in mind it is best to make reservations ahead of time.

The food was great , but the service?????
It was a rehearsal dinner and just 9 of us. During the appetizer I felt a sharp object in my mouth and it was a piece of white china or clay, what ever those plates are made of. I checked all plates, small or big they were all chipped. I didn’t complain and just said nothing but I still can feel the cut under my tongue. Except the hostess that was very polite and nice. The waiter was so rude and unprofessional.

Lively place and our food was really good. However , the loud music made normal conversation difficult. Servers, while pleasant, took a long time to get to us and then the food took a long time to be made. But once it came it was quite good.

Huge disappointment. The salmon was a nice piece of fish but no flavor, no imagination. On the menu it says panko crusted and it was not. Just cooked without any flavor, soul or love. The salmon sat on a bed of kale and spaetzle which was somewhat tasty, but cold. Every bite was just cold. It's odd to think this was intentional. The tuna tartare was boring: some cut up tuna and sliced avocado with a bit of ginger sauce. I've had so much better tuna tartare for less money in less pretentious places. The carrot cake finish was dry and had that texture of having sat around. My diner serves a better carrot cake. The staff was great, especially the managers. very nice and accommodating. I looked at what the table next to me was having and it didn't look better than diner food. The burger with a plastic looking bun, a tiny simple pizza that could be anywhere. It's a shame the food is so disappointing because it's a nice looking place with good staff and a great location.

Excellent food - really new tasty experience. Spinach has never tasted that good. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very nice restaurant. Quite pricey but definitely worth it.

Came here for a Saturday brunch and sat at the bar on the left as you first walked in. The servers behind the bar were the BEST! Ordered a smoothie and other drinks, hummus with pita (as a starter) and a couple different mains. (For example, the cheese dosa.) As others in my party predicted, the hummus was the standout. (Order it!) followed by the smoothie which was subtle and tasty. The dosa was good, not great. (More like a quesadilla) The bill was reasonable given these post-COVID prices, and we had a wonderful time hanging out for a couple hours as the restaurant stopped serving lunch/brunch. Probably the best food I had during my three day stay in NYC. If I come back anytime soon, I will try to make it to ABC!

What a unique space and location part of the ABC store the ABC Kitchen is just as good visibly as your tast buds explode with all the flavors. We came in on a recommendation. Tables set to perfection, meals just as lovely. we went with the Cardamom Duthch Pankakes, and my wife went with the backed eggs. One was so savory and one just right with syrup sweetness. The presentation was wonderful! No dessert as we were stuffed! Next door, all part of the same organization was a vegan, and one was Mexican and all accessible thru the center to the ABC Home Store. Carly, the manager, stopped by for a quick hello, which I thanked here for stopping by.
