We walked some extra blocks to get here and it was worth it. The sangria is excellent! They offer many tapas and full meals. We caught them the day before they were closing for a couple of weeks and I worried about the quality of the food, but it was fine. We ordered caldo gallego (excellent), and about six tapas... More

Great tradition, excellent menu, nice atmosphere. This is the type of place you can be friends of the staff, the owner, the chief. All nice people and great food. A special date place.

We were a large group celebrating a birthday, 6 couples. The waitstaff was prompt and never kept us waiting for food and drink very long. We were all pleased with our meals but the paella was the star of the table. This place has three differnt kinds and they know what they are doing!

Didn't have such a positive experience at this place as others have- both on TripAdvisor and Yelp. We walked by, saw that it was a Tapas place and after seeing generally positive reviews went in. It was early so there was only another couple having dinner when we arrived. Things got off to a weird start when the waiter served... More

We had not been to Cafe Riazor on 16th Street on the edge of Chelsea for over 30 years. When we first moved to NYC back in the early 80's, this was our go-to place. The neighborhood and NYC has changed so dramatically since then, but, we pleasantly discovered just recently, Cafe Riazor has not. The ambiance is still a... More

Food, service and atmosphere each deserve 5 stars! Pleasant, quiet place to relax and enjoy a meal. Try the tapas plates, especially the calamari, green beans, mushrooms, shrimp and olives. Service is friendly and helpful.

Six of us went there on Friday January 3rd. It was quiet because of the snow storm that hit the previous day. The server gentleman was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. I had the Tilapia and it was excellent! Everyone else had various Tapa dishes and they were all very good. I would definitely recommend this place... More
