Came here for lunch with two old friends who have spent a lot of time in Japan. They split a soft shell crab roll, while I went for the assorted sushi deluxe lunch.. My units were all top-notch, and service was also prompt. I would definitely return.

This restaurant in Chelsea was recommended by our hotel so we decided to try it. It was so good that we went back 2 days after! Everything we had was delicious and fresh (sushis, ramen soup etc) and the unagi sushis were the best we ever had. On top of this, the price is reasonable, so it is really a... More

Came in for a later dinner with a friend, had always walked passed the store, but never stopped in. They have a wide variety of sushi -- both traditional and innovative recipes -- makes it very hard to pick a few. Ordered a few rolls, for a table of two big sushi eaters it was tough getting it all down... More

Monster Sushi on 23rd Street has been here for 18 years. The service is always impeccable and friendly, the food is always fresh and delicious, and the portions are plentiful. You can have a good meal for 2 for under $50 and know that you will feel good about it. Go here instead of Cherry, or any of the new... More

Whenever we want to go out for sushi, instead of ordering in, this is our favourite. No matter if we want the big combo for 2 or to order rolls & sushis, we always order the spider crab roll, our favourite. The best in town, considered the price range, very affordable.

This isn't a fancy place by any stretch of the imagination, but the sushi is fantastic and the quality is incomparable. The menu and sushi itself are pretty big and there is plenty of choice for regular sushi eaters. I visit New York every couple of years and always make the time to come here. It's not touristy at all... More

I make a point to visit one the Monster Sushi locations every time I come to New York and I've never been disappointed. The menu has a very wide range of interesting rolls, their nigiri offerings are healthy servings. Highly recommended for aficionados of Japanese cuisine.

The sushi was very nice and the entourage is very likable. The chairs are very odd for a restaurant, though comfortable: they're office chairs!
