The food was good - the portions generous. Noisy, because the tables are packed in. This is my second visit and I will go back.

Never go into the kitchen. Stay in your seat and keep eating your small flies This is the most disgusting place that I have ever been to. The cooks don't wash their hands because I have seen them ( I will not say how )...and they use small flies as appetizers. Stay away from this place. If you insist then you are in for a big surprise, unless your stomach can handle it.More
This place used to have amazing food but I think the owners switched and now it's very disappointing. I wanna love this place so bad! I will try again in the future but I recommend skipping this place for now. I mostly miss the Chicken...Enchiladas con mole.More
My wife and I were on the hunt for a legit Mexican spot near a VRBO we were staying in, and Mexico Lindo was our choice for our first dinner and we're so glad we found it! We were greeted very warmly and through our...meal the service was friendly and spot-on. The pico de gallo was some of the best we've ever had, and the steak fajitas were delicious. They make great skinny margaritas too, we'll definitely have many more meals here during our stay!More
The triple lindy!! Great food. Fantastic service. Delicious Frozen margaritas. Will return. Management (owners) are not only delightful, they made us feel beyond welcome. thank you.
On the way to a movie, we decided on Mexican food nearby. Mexico Lindo, a family business staying in the neighborhood, was a luncheon favorite decades ago, and it is so marvelous to see it still a perfect casual (or not) dining spot. The service...was friendly and efficient, and we could linger over dessert and people-watching. The shrimp in garlic with warm bread and rice was perfect. The guacamole was fresh and smooth, and the tortillas and mexican cheese with chorizo a perfect combination. Dessert was a smooth delicate flan. We will be back for certain!More
The food is great, the owners are wonderful, and for nyc, the prices are reasonable. No, it’s not dollar-tacos or Chipotle. It’s a family-run restaurant serving great food from their mom’s hometown in Mexico, as well as locally sourced Mexican influenced contemporary dishes that any...foodie will love. Whenever possible, try the specials—last night’s salmon and chicken were especially fantastic! Known for the best margaritas, frose, and fajitas on the east side. Let them know any dietary concerns and they’ll make sure that you get a meal you’ll love. And they even do Sunday brunch starting around 1PM.More
Most expensive Mexican food I've had anywhere. $23 US for 3 tiny enchiladas. They were flavorless. Nothing tasted particularly good. I should have known from the stale chips and watery salsa. Nice looking restaurant with nice staff, but the place lost its ambiance when I...heard the cheers from patrons watching a Mets game on the tv they have in the dining room (!). we had come for a birthday dinner, so that kinda ruined things. If we'd wanted a sports bar....More
Only one visit, and the service was quite friendly...just forgetful. We enjoyed three very different dishes here, and can definitely recommend the food. They messed up on one order, though, and didn't get the correct one to the table until the other two at the...table were pretty much finished with their meals. They then offered a free drink to compensate for the mistake and the wait, which they... then forgot to bring! I don't think it is anything intentional or ill-intended, but a bit forgetful and chaotic. If not in any hurry, and in the area, I will still go back again. (And the dish they incorrectly brought me, enchiladas, looked pretty good! I probably should have just taken it....)More
I have passed this place on the second avenue bus for years and years and always wanted to try it. I read the positive reviews are decided to give it a go. We went for dinner on a Saturday night and it was packed. We...sat in the outside enclosed portion. The place is very loud. Our seats looked at the outside front entrance and we saw a constant stream of patrons exiting drunk and acting stupid while waiting for a car service on the sidewalk. I ordered the shrimp enchilada with verde sauce. The plate smelled like not so fresh shrimp. The shrimp were of the frozen small variety. The green sauce tasted like pea soup. The dish lacked any flavor at all. The accompanying white rice was acceptable. My wife ordered the trio combo of pinto bean burrito, cheese enchilada and tostados with guacamole. The pinto bean burrito was okay. The cheese enchilada lacked any flavor as did the green guacamole. Bland city. The accompanying yellow rice was cold and the black beans tasted like they came straight from a can. No flavor. The side order of tostones lacked any flavor and had no salt. They were hot and crispy. But tasted so bland. The accompanying dipping sauce was nasty and no flavor. I could not identify it. How can you screw up tostones? The complementary tortilla chips were fresh made but lacked salt. The salsa dip was barely acceptable but better than from a jar. I also had a Heineken which was good as they could not screw it up. The total with tax and tip was about $80. Total rip. Maybe this place is more suited for drinking people rather than for someone looking for a flavorful Mexican meal. I will not be returning.More
Management sucks at this restaurant. I came in 2 weeks ago to get dinner with my family and they charged me twice the amount. They haven’t returned the money and they are just saying it’s a problem with my bank. Besides that, the managers attitude...to take this kind of issues is the worst. Food is good but you won’t ever want to face this.More
I make it short - like our visit. This was simply the most tasteless meal I have ever eaten. No flavours whatsoever - from starters (except the Ceviche) to mains... after which we left!
I was wandering aimlessly on 2nd Ave and found this gem. Where to start! The food was amazing, fresh and tasty. I think I also had the best margarita in my life. Don't leave without one of those. And the staff, friendly and efficient. This...is a terrific place and I'm envious that we don't have anywhere like this at home.More
Ate an early dinner here with a group of 5. I am a vegetarian and there were several dishes to choose from. All of. our dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. The service was very helpful and present but not 'in our face'. A very...pleasant room and I look forward to a return visitMore
A family run restaurant that serves excellent Mexican food. This is not your run of the mill Tex/Mex place. Try the Mole Poblano, Cactus Pear Margarita, or the delicious Guacamole. There is something delicious each time you visit on their extensive menu. The staff is...attentive and courteous. A neighborhood favorite that welcomes everyone.More
