My husband and I found this restaurant via the Blue Man group website. So after the show, we decided to check it out. We are pretty diverse when it comes to food but Cuban food is not something we've had a ton of experience with. He's a vegan, so I find eating with him always a challenge. Agozar's menu looked... Had a wonderful impromptu evening here with my wife. The atmosphere, music, food and of course the drinks were top form. We had the Cuban tapas sat up at the bar and washed it all down with some rather good Mojitos. Will definitely be back again on our next trip to NYC.

This restaurant has subpar Cuban food. It's nothing to die over for. We had appetizers and entrees and weren't neither with the food nor the quantity. They serve small portions of food. The prices are expensive for the portion of food they serve. There are other Cuban restaurants you can go to for a better meal.

Excellent tapas! We were a big group - 10 of us - and I was quite happy with the food service although the drinks seemed a little slow.

This was our 2nd time visiting this place and it did not disappoint. Drinks were good bartender was very friendly and the two tapas we had were excellent. Very reasonably priced too which was added bonus.

Very long wait for food. Food itself not very tempting and not even close to what we had in Cuba. Strong drinks a plus.

I wish we'd made a better first impression, Danuta, and I'm sorry to see that we weren't at our best when you were here. We're used to hearing differently about our food and service here at agozar! and I'm disappointed to know that we fell short. I am glad you enjoyed our drinks. I can assure you that we have... More

Agozar is such a nice establishment. Their lunch specials are not only a great value, but they taste great as well. The staff are always friendly and it gives you a sort of escape from normalcy, if you will, from the big city that is New York. Be sure to get a side of platanos and the arroz con pollo,... More

Agozar is a small Cuban restaurant in the East Village. It is festive and can accomodate large groups. It is a great go-to place when you want to pull a bunch of people together with diverse tastes and dietary needs, although they don't make any claims to be allergy friendly. There are tapas, meat and vegetarian entrees, and tasty soups.... More

Agozar has an authentic and tasty Cuba cuisine. The menu serves every type of eating occasion: snacks, tapas, full dinners. Dinner includes a Prix Fixe that is a great value. Service is efficient and it's a great place to eat in the East Village.
