We stumbled upon this place and tried it out for dinner (they don't take reservations and it gets crowded and noisy). The hot cider was the best I've ever had - delicious. Then we shared the deluxe meat platter and liked the grilled kielbassa sausage...More

I am honestly always in the mood for this place. The pierogies are out of control delicious, especially the pot roast and potato ones. Get them fried. Just do it. I've had a really memorable grilled cheese here and some other sandwiches that totally hit...More

We were down in the East Village and stumbled upon this restaurant featured in Gossip Girls and decided to try it out. We just wanted a late afternoon snack, so we ordered Pirogi's, potato pancakes, egg cream sodas and blintzes - everything was amazing and...More

Amazing eastern European food, super tasty borscht, pierogie, potato pancakes and blintzes!! Foods that are hard to make well at home. Friendly service. Very reasonable prices.

The best borch soup ever! The caramelized onions was so good that I could eat it alone with a spoon. The pierogs were also very good. (And they have plenty of vegeterian optons)

This is an old favorite for middle European food, very crowded tables and a high noise level most of the time. Food varies from to outstanding. The crowded room is very challenging for the wait staff but they are willing and well educated about the...More

I have never had such delicious hand made, fresh perogies. Lots of varieties and lots of filling. This Ukrainian restaurant is on the east side of New York City in the 100 block of Second Avenue.

There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village,
which offers plenty of unique small businesses
catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college

old-time neighborhood feel that you can still
