Get there before 7 and enjoy oyster $1. We usually get through 3 dozen before a great lobster roll or the best gazpacho ever

Every dish was better than the last - at least my friend and I both thought so as we treated ourselves to a bevy of dishes to share. I experienced my first ever raw oysters and they were fantastic! I think I'll have dreams about the crab tostada...things that delicious should be illegal. The seared calamari salad was incredible and... More

Great vibe in this cute neighborhood restaurant. Our server could not have been better! He was pleasant, attentive and fun! Food was delicious, and drinks spot on. We were really impressed with the bus boys and their excellent level of service---our water glasses were continuously refilled with a smile. Nice touch with the "magic fish" at the end of the... Went there this past Friday with 13!!! other friends for an early dinner. We were seated quickly and received excellent service. We started with shrimp and avocado sliders for apps, and oysters. The sliders were amazing. However one of the selling points is $1 oysters, which I think for a Saturday in NYC is an amazing deal. The oysters were... More

We went on a Sunday evening for the lobster special-corn on the cob, potatoes and a side, with chocolate pudding for dessert. It was a good meal, although the asparagus was al dente. The lobster, octopus and oysters were delicious, the corn was tender and spinach & potatoes were good. The server disappeared and neglected to let us know she... More

This was a nice neighbor hood restaurant but nothing really outstanding. The food did come out in record time. I had the linguine with clams and it was fine. My son and friend had the lobster sandwich with fries. The sandwich bread is delicious but the lobster is served cold.

Great happy hour special that I would highly advise. The oysters were good, and the lobster roll was one my colleague and I shared. The salad was a bit overdressed which was the only gripe. That aside, it's a place I would go back to.

So their sign says, "not quite famous Lobster Roll". This is funny as it needs to be famous as it's among the best I've ever had. Fresh, succulent, lightly spiced and served on a top slit brioche roll. It tasted amazing and was served with "Old Bay" spiced fries. Grab that with an, on tap IPA and you're on your... More

We flew in to NYC on a Monday afternoon, did some sightseeing, and then showed up a little early for our 2-person reservation. They seated us immediately. A very energetic, friendly waitress greeted us with good news. It was all night happy hour complete with $1 oysters. Long story short we ordered a half dozen oysters, drinks, a couple happy... More

As other reviews have said, the raw shellfish are better than the cooked food. I had the raw little neck clams which were very good and the "Nearly Famous" lobster roll which was a disappointment. Having previously holidayed in Maine, we bacame addicted to this dish but this New York offering was a pale imitation. The overpowering seasoning on the... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
