A great ambiance and facilities. The epitome of the perfect NYC little Italian place. Expansive menu, great service and reasonable prices.

We enjoyed a tasty treat at Teodora on Sunday with family in from overseas. The restaurant was highly recommended by our hotel's Concierge. From soup to scrumptious flat bread appetizers to the heavenly tiramisu desserts and limoncello, everything was delicious and served by a gracious staff who made us welcome and not rushed thru our meal and visit.

It was a frigid Saturday afternoon in Manhattan and my brothers and sisters, my niece and I were looking for some good Italian food and, Mamma mia, we sure found it !! Grandma Josie was from Sicily, and she could cook, so we know good Italian food. I had capellini with pomodori sauce and a side salad-heavenly !!! Just the... More

The upstairs dining room was bathed in sunshine and absolutely lovely, the appetizer of eggplant/tomato etc delightful. It fell apart with the serving of the soup with cold veal dumplings, lukewarm broth and a huge volume of salt. I could not finish more than 1/3 of the expensive soup, commented on the saltiness and the waiter merely nodded and removed... More

This is a nicely decorated little place and the service we received was brilliant, however...the food was awful. I had spinach & ricotta ravioli and my girlfriend a simple tomato and basil spaghetti, really how hard can it be to mess that up? It tasted like bad tinned pasta sauce that had been heated up and to top it off... More

We find ourselves drawn to this little gem almost every time we're in NYC. Located on East 57th Street, it's convenient. Most of all, the food is delicious. Service is excellent. We had the cheese soufflé over mushroom ragout and soup (veal dumplings in capon broth). Just love it!

Went to this tiny place with a coworker based on hotel recommendation. It was close by and looked like a little spot. It had Zagat rated stickers on the Windows outside. It was small with just a few, close tables and a bar. White linens on the tables...definitely signs of good Italian fare that must be a local fave. The... More

We stopped here for an early dinner after spending a rather hot day sightseeing. We were very casually dressed and disheveled from the heat but thought they might put us in a corner somewhere out of the way so we wouldn't offend other guests. We were surprised when they gave us a window table so we could watch the people... More

We visit NYC annually and this is a must stop on each trip. The food is marvelous, the service caring and informed and the setting is quintessential New York. The Insalata de Tonno is superb. Very reasonably priced wine list. Full bar.

I can honestly say that having been to Italy many times, this place is Italian... Not American Italian. The staff was very attentive and the food was out of this world. If you are in Mid town and want a nice cozy Italian meal you won't go wrong here.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
