Picked up some cupcakes and a few other goodies. The cupcakes were just meh--dry at the bottom, icing was just okay, favors didn't particularly wow. The dark chocolate peanut butter was best of the bunch we tried. However, some of the other treats were pretty good like the campfire bar and specialty rice krispy treats. We expected a bit more... Our bell hop suggested this place and we were so glad he did! They offered us a sample of their banana pudding which they are know for and it was fantastic! Cupcakes were good also! They offer a lot of variety for such a small place! Their cakes looked scrumptious!

Firstly, i placed my order and my credit card was charged. When i called back to confirm when i could pick up my cake, they had no record of my order, but they gladly charged by credit card anyways! When i was able to pick up my cake, everyone at the birthday party was excited to try their golden cake.... More

I hAd pre-ordered 4 dozens cupcakes. They were supposed to be FRESH red velvet with purple topping, and one - large custom made. It was for my daughter's bday party, there was a particular theme, they were supposed to be RED VELEVT with PURPLE TOPPING. My daughter wrote a song about them she was going to sing. Party was at... I love cake and I think that I'm spoiled in London, as I've yet to find better cakes than Hummingbird and the Primrose Bakery. I really wanted to love Buttercup, but instead I just liked it. I much prefer cream cheese frosting, and this was butter, over-whipped in my opinion. The cupcake - peanut butter and chocolate - was ok,... More

i'm not crazy about cupcakes, they are often dry and have too much overly sweet frosting, however the chocolate cupcakes at this bakery were divine! The texture and flavour of the chocolate cake was soft, melting, moist and perfectly cocoa rich. the icing was light and creamy. i will definitely return on my next visit to new york

You judge for yourself. A 4-year-old could do a better job of decorating a cake. Notice the "David" falling off the end and the bow ties that look like splotches of black. What you can't see is the dry inedible old cake inside. We had a wonderful party and laughed at the cake. What isn't laughable is that this 1/2... More

I've only visited the 33rd & Madison location which is very close to the Empire State Building. My favorite cupcake is the German Chocolate closely followed by the Hummingbird. The staff is super friendly.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
