A lover of caviar? Petrossian is the pinnacle experience. Our family orders from them every year for Christmas Eve. My wife and I are in NYC and enjoyed their Sunday brunch. The Tsar Imperial Ossetra is amazing!! We enjoyed a bottle of prosecco along with a brunch tasting. The caviar Caesar salad is world class. What an enjoyable Sunday afternoon.... More

Eat there for dinner the other night with my wife and another couple. The caviar was excellent andf vaired in quantity and quality, depending on what you wanted to taste and pay. The appetizers were disappointing. The risotto in caviar with pearl potatoe was not tasty at all. The spaghetti and parmesan was fine, but tiny portion for $20. The... More

While on a NYC Tour, we heard about Petrossian's Caviar. My grandson had never had this treat and was open to the experience. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager/Leo. He said to ask for him. Besides the caviar (wonderful), Leo introduced us to the Petrossian's desserts. We so enjoyed, we went there again before leaving NYC. Thanks... More

My husband and I have been dining at Petrossian for 25 years, and this was the most gourmet meal we have ever enjoyed there. The new management and chef have raised the standards to an impressive degree. The Paris-trained chef has taken a seasonal approach to the menu while preserving some of the restaurant's past traditions, and the results are... More

I could just repeat john k's review. The food was magnificent. A little caviar here and there didn't go amiss. The service is as expected in a restaurant in this price range, with servers for different parts of the meal. We enjoyed watching all our plates being placed in time with each other. The appetizers were lovely--salmon sampling and calamari... More

Dinner at Petrossian was a return to the art deco period and made me feel if Cole Porter was playing piano in the next room. The dining room features Lalique crystal wall sconces and bronze sculptures from the 1930's. The assorted amuse bouche and Calamari Cannelloni appetizers were served in a stylish presentation that complemented the decor. They were followed... More

We went to Petrosian twice while we were in New York. We had a wonderful lunch with the best scrambled eggs and smoke salmon I have ever eaten. The pastries are also fantastic. We also purchased some of their take-out items. Not too pricy for the quality and area.

I was sorely tempted to do the the caviar tasting menu but the thought of taking out a second mortgage caused me to come to my senses. But there is a wealth of other items on the menu and the surprise was how well they do fish. I had a white fish (with a bit of caviar) and it was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
