Me and a really good friend of mine got a very last minute prime time dinner reservation (within a week at 6:30!) to celebrate her birthday (informally) at Per Se and I personally have very high expectations for this alleged best Michelin three star in NYC. (Thanks to AMEX concierge for pulling some strings). However,it would be a fail in... More

Well it appears my friends, all of whom started out as collectors of my art, are secretly obsessed with online reviews.....and Artist dinner guests. Every item that graced our table was visual and culinary perfection. I was invited to PerSe after my previous review of Masa was discovered. I cannot imagine how anyone would become blase regarding the breath-taking works... More

Excellent food and service. It was a birthday celebration and they went above and beyond to make their night special. A bit pricey but it was one of the best meals I've had.

Fully deserves its high accolades. Located on Columbus Circle - great ambience, service and food. The chefs tasting menu is winner ($325 a head). 8 courses but in 3 you get a choice between 2 options. A small cheese plate between the meat and the sensational dessert taster is a great idea. The wine list is massive. We have been... More

Per Denis really unparalleled, unless you've been to the French Laundry in Napa. The similarities are enjoying, without being repetitive or boring. I've been fortunate to have dined here twice in 2016 so far... I love it! The staff is knowledgable, experienced, friendly and professional. Impeccable, really. The food is gorgeous. It's spectacular. Worth every penny as this is a... More

Within the world of fine dining (as I have experienced it thus far), this took the prize. I was truly amazed at Thomas Keller's (and team) ability to surpass the reputation that precedes him and his restaurants. At this level of dining, the experience as a whole and how it appeals to the individual diner is what ultimately sets it... More

Visited the Salon with friends as we wanted to try Per Se without the full cost. The idea is to order individual dishes from the tasting menu. So with friends if you share you can get a pretty good idea of the full experience. We had four dishes plus the seven course desert tasting menu and some great snacks. We... More

Per Se is impeccable in service, and the food reflects the thought and care put into the restaurant. The tasting menu is divine and worth shelling out the extra cash. Also, the ambiance is of superior perfection. I've been there twice and cannot wait to return.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
