We went to nougatine for lunch on the second day of our trip to new York. Food was amazing, service was amazing, and lunch is not cheap, but affordable for such quality of food. They care so nuch about their guests. During our week in nyc we tried other good resturants but non were comparable to nougatine food-service-price wise. Highly... More

We had a gorgeous time at Nougatine, the casual alternative to Jean-Georges next door. Not sure whether it has a Michelin star but the kitchen, if not the same, share its high standards. Service was flawless but remained friendly (a key combination to qualify for perfection for me), menu is very varied and everything mouth-watering. We had a superb foie... More

We were very happy to have secured a table at this restaurant, the menu looked wonderful, but we were really disappointed with the execution. New York restaurants seem to cater to two very different types of people. The first type is a visitor, who seems to prefer to finish his meal within 1,5 hours, likes to almost explode from the... The food has always been perfect. The prix fix has a shrimp salad, in my opinion is fabulous. It has a truffle vinegrett which is so good. The shrimp are really fresh and sweet.

I've been to many of jean George's restaurants over the years and nougatine bar has to be one of my favorites ever. The bar snacks are incredible the crispy rise with scallop is divine. Great cocktails and consistently interesting people.

We received a gift certificate for our wedding to Jean Georges and chose to got Nougatine. The hostesses were very nice upon arrival and our waiter provided great recommendations - we had the EXCELLENT tuna tartare (a Jean Georges specialty), my husband really enjoyed his beef and the butterscotch pudding was likely our favorite dessert ever! The atmosphere is casually,... More

After numerous visit's, Nougatine at Jean Georges remains a "go to restaurant" for us. The food is always innovative, fresh and delicious. We had the shrimp salad & the fois gras brule for appetizers which were incredible. For our entree's, we had the spaghetti with basil/pistachio pesto & the veal milanese-both really good and for dessert, we both had the... More

This restaurant is trendy as it is across from Central Park. I enjoyed the shrimp salad with the vinaigrette and champagne dressing. However, the service was slow. It took forever for our food to come out. If you are looking to do a long leisurely lunch then this is the place.

Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients.
