This is Jean Georges sister restaurant and honestly the quality of the food is just as good (me and my girlfriend attended both). Nougatine is less formal than a Michelin star style (no jacket required) but nonetheless was excellent food and service. If you are looking for fine dining but without the effort of dressing formally and would prefer a... More

We were surprised to discover that this restaurant is located in the Trump Tower but interestingly, the decor could not be more different in that it was muted and simple Service was great and a scalf I inadvertently left in the ladies room, immediately located post meal. We asked to split the bill but both received a credit card chit... More

Once again, overthinking a restaurant is a terrible thing. Lemme ask you, when traveling by plane and walk thru First Class seating, are you upset that you're not getting the bigger seats and upscale meal? Or do you just walk thru and say, good luck folks, enjoy that expensive up charge? If you're like me, I don't care. The difference... More

A lovely venue across from Central Park: tables pleasantly far apart, tasteful china and background music. Menu during Restaurant Week was fine, as were the actual dishes, and substitutions for fussy eater much appreciated. Nothing terribly original about the food, but prepared and served with attention and care. A few minor blips with servers, but on the whole a very... More

We stayed at the Trump International Hotel in Columbus Circle and ate at Nougatine every day we were there. We had breakfast 5 days, dinner once, and lunch twice. This restaurant is the little sibling of Jean Georges, located next door. The food is excellent, well presented, tasty, fresh and always timely. The staff is attentive and friendly! The restaurant... This is a nice place - I felt that at times the concept is a bit tired and some of the dishes did not have at all the wow factor, but overall, it delivers. I would not recommend it for a real foodie - the place is a step below that - but it is a good place otherwise, if... More

Last minute we booked a table at this restaurant. Originally we was going for restaurant week but once seeing the menu we changed our mind on ordering the fixed discounted menu. Me and my boyfriend both opted for the tasting menu. Very vibrant flavours which all were delicious. Only negative is dishes that consist of citrus flavour, personally I think... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, great value for food and service. The calamari was served with an aioli mousse which was well paired, my friend had the tuna tartare with a delicate rosette of radish and was deliciously creamy. i was a little unsure of sesame crusted salmon, but it also was well paired with a potato rosti and wilted spinach.... I love the laid back atmosphere of Nougatine. It's a simple dining room, not overly cramped with a small bar in the center of the room. The table scapes are spare, lighting is just the right amount of dim, and there is a warm, unfussy feel to the restaurant. You will feel quite comfortable in business casual. The real star... More

We had four delicious meals at Nougatine on a Tuesday evening when the special Restaurant Week discount menu was in effect; 3 of us ordered from the limited menu and 1 from the regular menu. All 4 meals were absolutely delicious, and the restaurant week portions were the same size as the regular portions (which is not always the case... More

Description
Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients.
