A lovely cafe connected to the New Yorker, tasty food, great value and quick service, the staff are always busy so cannot always afford the time to chat.

With every visit to the New Yorker Hotel, there are of course visits to the Tick Tock Diner, and this most recent visit was no exception. I was very glad to find it still has great food and generous portions for good prices, and no matter how busy staff gets they are always courteous and helpful. Glad to see their... More

The burgers are amazing! The interior of the Tick Tock Diner is nostalgic and modern. Loved it! Breakfast was delicious as well. Great atmosphere.

Trying to find a dinner locale for us, we opted for the Tick Tock Diner, not too far a walk from our hotel. We didn't want to face long waits closer to the theaters, and this looked to be a good choice. We were all happy with our meals, basic food but all good. No waits at all, and everyone... More

Service was outstanding - left a hefty tip for the man who anticipated our needs and didn't hesitate to offer to take our pic when I pulled out my phone. Thank you.

My husband surprised me with a trip to ny and we stayed at the Wyndham New Yorker, on the night we landed we poped into the tick to know diner and the food took a long time to come out, but it was ok for some eggs and potato pancakes, the next morning we decided to go there again because... More

This is open 24 hours, and during our stay at the New Yorker hotel we used this diner several times. We found the staff very friendly, and service was quite good. Food is a bit pricey, but then again you expect that in New York City and in such a central location. During the Indian convention that we attended and... More

I have eaten both breakfast and lunch here, and have found the food to be consistently good, if a little expensive--but I guess that they make up for the price with large portions. Their Greek salad is very good, and they have a number of interesting breakfast options. Service is always prompt, and usually pleasant as well. There is a... More

Stayed at the Wyndham New Yorker, and ate breakfast each morning at the TickTock. It never lets you down. Service is fast - food comes out even faster. Brioche french toast with bacon? Yummy. Omelets? Yummy. Had lunch one day there as well. Prices are reasonable ($12 +/- for breakfast entrees). Will always head back to the TickTock when I'm... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
