Great food! Great Service! Great Atmosphere! We will be back! La Boite en Bois was recommended by a friend and I'm happy we took her advice!

From the moment we walked in and told the waiter that our theatre tickets were for 7:00 and he said 7:30, I knew we were in trouble. They took our order and then we waited over 35 minutes for the appetizer. Then the wait staff...More

We met friends for dinner at La Boite en Bois. The food was nice - not great, but La Boite does not claim greatness - it's just a comfortable neighborhood place with a French accent. The menu has a nice selection and the food is...More

Went for brunch with my niece and enjoyed the experience immensely! Very cozy (i.e. small) and warm (in tone, not temperature!) and very European in service (where dining is an event in itself to be savored, not rushed. If you are in a hurry, you...More

Food was acceptable, but quite ordinary. Service was slow and it seemed staff went out of their way to avoid eye contact for requests, removal of dishes and the check. Restaurant was less then half full at the time so under-staffing did not seem to...More

Love this bistro for pre-theater dinners. Food is delicious and the waiters make a point of getting you out in time for the Lincoln Center curtain. They also have a delicious prix-fixe lunch. Seafood crepes are not to be missed.

If you’re looking for some reasonably priced French food in a restaurant that’s not pretentious while in NYC then this this restaurant is worth considering. In addition to the good food, this tiny hole in the wall has good ambience. Enjoy!

The menu and ambience have a very authentic French feel. The food is excellent, and the wine list (and other drinks) varied. The tables are a little close, which also means that the noise level can mount at times, but in some ways this is...More

I called the restaurant. I was told that they offer ala carte only on Sunday evenings. Prix fixes dinner can be served upon request. Be sure to call them first at (212) 874-2705.
