I visited this restaurant on recommendation for my wife's birthday. The food is Michelin star and the views over Newyork are mind blowing. The service was good and the food excellent. If a romantic setting is important and the food has to be top notch then this is the place to go.

Great view of NY skyline and Central Park. The staff is very friendly and service minded. Great wine list. We had the tasting menu which was good even though I have had better dinners at this level. But still worth a five rating.

Asiata is definitely my favorite restaurant in NYC. Almost every time I come to the city I try my best to dine there. Situated on the 35th floor of the Mandarin hotel it is a truly haute cuisine place. I usually go for a three course menu (which they change seasonally) as it is more than enough to enjoy great... The food was a little lacking, a little bland for my taste. We each went for 3 courses. I chose the lobster - good quality but bland, I don't even remember my second choice and then the pumpkin pie which we all picked at but we're disappointed. It was absolutely freezing where we sat and the waiter was grumpy. The... More

Came here for dinner with family after a broadway show, mostly because of high reviews, location and expected view of skyline. The food is very good and service is impecable, the restaurant is quite small and modern. The views are ok but you can get a better views from the bars at Colombia Circle. Especially I like the jazz bar!... More

Most restaurants in NY are fairly pricey however if you visit Asiate at lunch times they have a set menu which is fairly priced. Such good value for money. The food was unbelievable, so delicious! The mocktails were incredible. The best part is you eat amazing food over looking Central Park; really quite breathtaking!

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Asiate. Excellent service. Ambiance and atmosphere is top of the line. Cocktails and drink options are superb and voluminous. We had a great sommelier who was helpful but not pushy. And of course the food. It was exquisite. Same experience one year before. I think the 4 course option is the way to go for... More

we keep returning to this hotel and restaurant especially for brunch for special occasion. We visited Asiate multiple times over the years and were ALWAYS very happy with the innovative delicious food. Not this time. We invited another couple for brunch it was a birthday event. Unfortunetely, the appetizers were VERY midiocre, the main entree, fish, was too salty with... More

If you are looking for a romantic setting, this restaurant is a sure bet. The views are great even if you are not right at the windows. While there are many great high end restaurants in New York, what set this one apart in my mind was the service. The staff all around was wonderful and very attentive. Daniel who... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
