The restaurant has been here for years and although the service can be uneven if you tell them you are dining before attending an event at Lincoln Center you will be out in time. The food is always excellent, though can be pricey. You do get what you pay for.

Very nice food but the service was awful. It was impossible for us to get the attention of our (or any) waiter; had to either stand up and flag them down and at one point I had to leave the table and approach a waiter so I could get a glass of wine. Not sure if this was because we... More

Dinner here was nice. Know that a $25 per person minimum applies, but it's not hard to reach that! The vegetable Korma, and lamb Biryani were good, and the garlic naan was flavorful. I would return.

We were looking for an Indian restaurant near Lincoln Center while visiting NYC and read the reviews of Sapphire. Our experience was consistent with many of the reviews--very good food (not outstanding); good service and priced within the range we expected. We'd go back again in the future if we were in that area.

This is a very well located restaurant near broadway but also near offices. I think that the food was very good and very classical indian cuisine. I recommend this place to anyone.

We were able to get reservations for the same evening, but it crowded up, so I would definitely try to get reservations early. The food was very good, quite spicy, but not too painful. The combination platter was excellent, and they were very kind to trade the salmon for more chicken since my husband doesn't like salmon. The only complaint... More

We came across this restaurant whilst looking for somewhere to eat pre-theatre at the Lincoln Centre. Many of the restaurants close to the Lincoln Centre were rammed with waits of up to an hour, so we walked a little further away and happened upon the Sapphire. We were seated immediately and all the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive.... More

Heard a lot about this place through the grapevine of other tourists and with having a little nosey in the window and it did not disappoint! The naan breads are fresh and absolutely gorgeous, the curries are made from scratch and you can tell because they are amazing! They only downside is that you have to spend $25 dollars per... More

I was in New York on a business trip and was staying at the Empire hotel. Came across Sapphire as it is very close to Empire. Quality and taste was truly Indian. Looking forward to visit again during my next trip.
