We had a very nice lunch in over crowded, under staffed Thai restaurant. The wait was normal for lunch hour in Manhattan, long. The food was well worth the wait. From the shrimp Pad Gra Prow with its spice(a little too mild) to the Fancy Noodle redolent with coconut, the food was very well... read more

We discovered Topaz Thai by chance on way to Carnegie Hall. Actually we had plans to go to a different restaurant but noticed the pretty flowers and beautiful decor. The atmosphere was very welcoming and decorated for Valentine's day, we were seated immediately, the service was great and the food delicious. We made it in time for our concert. Would... More

I live round the corner from an amazing Thai restaurant, so i didnt think anything would beat it taste wise, but this place was great. Fantastic food. Good price. Good size portions. Only a little place, so you dont really expect much,, but awesome food with big flavours.

The service here is consistently fast and friendly, it's mostly a lunch place that caters to people that work in the midtown area in my opinion, so if service is a little off at dinner time as I have read in some of the reviews...this may be the reason why. The staff is eager to wind down. It's quite busy... More

Myself and my wife first visited this restaurant in 2010 when the food was fabulous and the service excelent. However our last two visits have been a huge disapointment. On those occasions a number of dishes were not available and when the food arrived this was no longer to the same standard it had been previosly. We were also served... More

A real thai food experience, this restaurant offers a great menu with interesting choices. Nice décor and fast service, once ordered food was served within minutes. Service is delivered with utmost professionalism and smiles. Duck is an absolutely must, very tender and flavourful.

Amazing food! Love the lettuce wrap. Small place, but intimate. Very busy, but you don't feel rushed at all.

This restaurant is a great value in a very expensive area. The portion sizes are huge and great and the staff very attentive. Very quaint gem we will definitely return to.

I love oriental dishes and it was my first thai dinner and it was very exquisite.Marvelous experience with my family. The service was excellent and quick. The environment was nice and cozy. It became a beautiful memory and I would like to repeat my visit because I will order another dish from menu.

I visited NYC Thanksgiving 2015 and was surprised that my favourite Thai Restaurant was under new management. Needless to say it was a must that I made a reservation for dinner. The menu has changed but the service and the food was as I remember...consistently good. One of My dinner partners (he feels the same way as I do about... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
