While we were a bit reluctant to make a NYE reservation upon learning of the $230 pp fixed menu price, all six in our party were very pleased with everything about the evening, including the delicious food. The 5 course meal started with 3 individual Hor d’Oeuvres for each person, then an appetizer followed by an entree and dessert. (Refer... More

We chose this restaurant as it had good reviews and was close to Carnegie Hall where we were going in the evening. The restaurant was heaving and very packed at 17:45 on a mid week evening. Our table was ready when we arrived so we were seated quickly. However, the fish and tiramisu on the menu were both sold out... More

Redeye Grill is a high-ceiling place with a lot of wood decor. We were there for drinks after a concert. They have a piano bar and that night, Marissa was doing a great job playing and singing old pop tunes ranging from the Beatles to the Eagles. The music stops at 10:30 PM, so we didn't see her for very... More

I was surprised by the variety of diners at this restaurant. We saw people celebrating anniversaries, a business meeting, families with children and people there to enjoy the live entertainment. Even with a reservation, we had to wait at 7:30pm and was seated about 7:40pm. The staff was very friendly and this made for a nice dinner too. The menu... More

On entering we thought this was a good restaurant they had live music playing & the restaurant was busy We decided to go for the 3 course set menu but had to pay extra for certain items like the king crab starter which for me was the best part of the whole meal My steak for main course was a... We had our Christmas lunch at the Redeye and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was no live music but they played Christmas music throughout the afternoon. We shared a mixture of foods, baby kale salad, battered onion rings, miso cod, fillet mignon, rib-eye burger, asparagus and cheesecake along with prosecco and a cocktail. For two adults and two children it was... More

The wonderful maitre d' got us in (table of five) during a busy time, holiday week, right before the pre-theater rush. Our waiter, Sean, was really great—funny, personable, caring. Excellent guacamole, salads, and the steak was stellar, tender, flavorful—frankly, one of the best steaks I had all year, up there with the steaks I enjoyed in Buenos Aires, which is... More

First let me be clear, by Christmas blowout i don't mean 'cut loose, eat drink & be merry' blowout. I mean 'where's all my money gone' blowout. Our conceirge booked us a table here when we asked for a recommendation for xmas day dinner. It was a nice dinner, the Buttermilk battered onion rings were beautiful. The steaks we ordered... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
