Terrence Brennan's bistro is eminently approachable; though it has its own elegance it is not intimidating at all, and the chef is fanatical about the quality of his food. The place also has a wonderful wine list, and our party of four was delighted by both our reception and our meal. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it -if... More

This superb restaurant is closed. Rumor has it they are looking for a new location. Fingers crossed for success in that endeavor. This location was perfect because of its proximity to Lincoln Center. The food, wine, and service could never be bettered. Just perfect!

My husband booked us a last minute trip to New York for Valentine's Day and we booked dinner here through OpenTable. Restaurant required a dinner agreement (a first for me; typically, credit cards have been enough). Upon arrival, we were Immediately greeted upon entry and they checked our coats. We were taken to a very intimate booth (rounded & velvety).... More

Lincoln Center area. Very sophisticated décor and feel. “French-Mediterranean dishes are original interpretations of classic flavors from France, Spain and Italy.”—their words. We dined with two friends and all of us loved our food. Definitely hearty portions. Cheese cart was a highlight. Always ranks among the best in the city. Funny thing was, last time we were here, there were... More

I booked on Open Table and noted it was my mother-in-law's birthday. I didn't expect anything extraordinary, or anything at all besides the food that we ordered, for that matter. When we arrived, the server presented us with lovely customized menus that said "happy birthday." It was truly a thoughtful detail. The service was impeccable, and I can't say we... More

Picholine had been a staple in our repertoire of restaurants we had frequented due to its location near the Opera-Lincoln Center, and it was one of the few finer establishments in the area. However, my twin and I stopped our visits due to the lack of seemingly any movement forward in energy or menu. For several years, at least it... More

Our last night in the Big Apple... We were hungry and went here. It doesn't look fancy or so from the street. But when we entered... what a place. The service were superb, the food also. We left with a big smile. Will certanly return and enjoy another dinner here.

My husband and I go to Picholine each and every time we go to the ballet which is very often! We have been going to Picholine for many years. The food is superb, varied and original. My personal favorite is the risotto--just can't be beat but they are really known for their unique game preparations. There are many options to... More

Enter into a cozy bar and proceed into the first room with high ceilings. Choose this room as the second has low ceilings and although nicely decorated, the first room is much nicer. Very polished waitstaff. When they change the tablecloth, they actually use a hot iron and press the tablecloth. Beautiful place settings. The price fixe is $105. for... More

Very upscale and elegant impeccable service with outstanding food. Quite expensive so reserve for a special occasion such as an anniversary or wedding. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and it lived up to a memorable dinner experience. We both had the 3-course meal and so yourself a favor and let them pair the wine with your food, they hit... More
