We chose the restaurant for its close proximity to the opera and based on past reviews. Although staff were friendly they were in the middle of changing over for evening service. We never received any bread to the table although everyone else did. The food was very average. My salad had obviously been sitting in its dressing for sometime as... More

We dined at Cafe Fiorello before a ballet performance. The service was excellent, the variety offered was remarkable and since we were on a tight schedule we appreciated their effort at serving us expeditiously. The food was delicious. The ambiance elegant, warm and welcoming. I'm definitely going back!

My husband and I were looking for a light brunch before heading to the Metropolitan Opera for 5 hours! We stopped in Cafe Fiorella and were so happy we did. The atmosphere/ambience was very inviting and we decided to eat at the large oval bar. The menu had many enticing options such as the Antipasto bar, but we opted for... More

we had a wonderful evening after a Don Giovanni matinee at the Met, followed two days later by a fabulous pre Tristan supper. This is how you imagine an Italian cafe in New York could be

After visiting a number of restaurants in the vicinity looking for an inexpensive evening meal, we decided such a thing probably didn't exist. We liked the look of the Cafe Fiorelli and were not disappointed. We chose to sit inside away from the traffic noise as it was less busy and cooler. When seated we were offered a nice basket... When I head into this part of town I love getting their rustic style pizza or one of their delicious pasta dishes. The staff is very accommodating and the atmosphere is wonderful. If your going to a show at Lincoln Center make sure you stop here for dinner. Highly recommended.

Fiorello has been around for a long time and it shows. The space looks dated as does the menu. The food is average at best and prices are on the high side. Location is its saving grace right across from Lincoln Center making it an easy choice for opera and concert goers. If you are looking for good authentic Italian... More

A top choice for Lincoln Center pre or post event. Large, noisy with a high energy level. Our party of three had a great salmon, chicken tuscan salad and the restaurant's specialty, a magnificent lasagna like no other one has ever seen or enjoyed. Careful: it is huge and the server warned me, but I could barely enjoy half, if... More

I ordered a pizza suggested by my server, and I was delighted to experience a flat crust as thin as a sheet of paper towel. The pie was not overdone, just enough tomato sauce, cheese and the sliced meatballs were seasoned wonderfully. I always think of this place, and I grew up in Trenton where the Tomato pie is an...
