My favorite thing about having a poached egg is cutting the egg through the yolk and watching how it oozes out. Guess what? It didn't. Very disappointed about that. Although the taste in every dish I tried was fantastic. The reason I give it 3 stars is because the service is bad. The waiter has come to our table about... More

Back in the day, the Parker Meridien Hotel was a bright spot in the city. It had a very good restaurant, a French flair and a nice vibe. Today, on the restaurant side, not so much. A recent lunch at Norma's reminded me about how far a restaurant can fall when it takes the customer for granted. Let's start with... More

Norma's is always our very first destination whenever we visit NYC. The food quality, quantity, presentation and creativity is absolutely flawless. The foie gras French toast is delicious, and so is everything else we've ever tried there. Their fresh smoothies are also very special. My daughter and I usually share one savoury and one sweet dish. The waiters, as well... More

This is known to be NYC best breakfast. If so, over rated. Fancy plates and very good food. However, super expensive and it takes forever. Service is stellar. I will always choose a local dinner over options like these ones.

We just had brunch here on a recommendation from friends. Norma's is set inside Le Parker Meridien and unfortunately that was the best bit. Our waiter took our order and we waited quite some time for our food - by the time our food arrived our hot tea was lukewarm. We did not initially have a problem with the wait... More

Had egg frittata with shrimp, egg benedict and a crunchy french toast. All satisfied and the price was a little bit higher than expected. Not very large space but clean and great atmosphere of the morning. Spent appx. 150+ for 3 people.

- This is a must visit for breakfast lovers! - Everything on the menu is amazing. Omelette, scrambled eggs, pancakes & french toast all are just amazing. - I have been to the place twice in 1 week and just love it. - Highly recommended. - Make sure to reserve as the place is rather small & gets crowded all... We ate breakfast here while staying at the hotel. One of us had an omelette and the other had pancakes. I have to admit, they were probably the best omelette and pancakes I've ever had, and they were generous servings. However, I've also never paid $28 each for an omelette and 2 pancakes. While the food was excellent, the service... More

Huge portions of decadent, dessert-like waffles and pancakes. High prices reflect location and portion-size -- it's really too much to eat. Service is pleasant and accommodating, and they welcome children. A fun one-time treat, but I wouldn't return.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
