We went to Abigael's as we heard good things, but we were happy to discover that the food far exceeded our expectations. The ambiance could use a facelift, but the service, attention to detail and the delicious food -- well -- we are still talking about it! B'tay-a-von:)

Ordered rib steak ( 4 different choices of rib steak on menu for 45$) each. Medium rare. Steak was chewy in side, full of fat and crispy black on outside. Not a good steak at all. F in my book. However, side orders were good and wine was great. They removed one of the side orders from bill due to... More

Never disappointed with Abigael's. Chef Nathan always does a great job, food is presented beautifully, and exceptional quality is a given. I particularly enjoy the ambiance as a destination for a quiet business lunch. Is my go-to lunch destination in the Midtown area. Had a delicious 'Brazilian' steak special for lunch today. Wow!! Kudos to our server today, Anne Marie,... More

Wow! Many thanks for the awesome review of Abigael's and Chef Jeff's great dishes. It's a great place to escape the midtown tumult, and it's good to know that you're comfortable hosting your business lunches here. Thanks too for mentioning Anne Marie; she's one of our newer staff members and has turned out to be a real treasure! We appreciate... More

I reviewed this place in May after a lunch gathering that was just so-so. Then in June, my wife and I went with another couple and I gave it a rave review after a delicious steak dinner with excellent service. This week, she and I went (just the two of us) and we selected the same steak options and the... More

Thank you for your continued patronage and for your comments. We are very distressed to learn that your recent visit was not as enjoyable as it had been last time. There is no excuse for the waiter to have not returned to your table to check on how your meal was. This is such an integral part of what we... More

My husband and I have been going to Abigael's for decades whenever we are in Manhattan. The food was still good (portions are smaller then in May) but prices were up. My husband's vodka martini was served in a highball glass. The waiter did not know what "straight up" means. My husband had to explain it to him. The drink... More

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts about the recent visit you had with us. Many thanks for being a long-time customer, too. We value your patronage and your comments. Despite our best efforts to keep prices the same, we did have a few adjustments after nearly three years of no increases. During this time our base costs... More

Abigael's is a study in perfection. Vincent our water was sharp, attentive, and prompt. He knew the wine and dinner menu well. My 22 oz Brazilian steak was outstanding. My guest's chicken in a cranberry dijon sauce was tasty. All in all, a perfect visit.

One of my associates are Jewish this restaurant is right across the street from the office building, so of course we had lunch here. I was a little thrown off by how formal the establishment was, everyone had a suit and tie on, so I felt a little underdressed. They have a very wide range of menu items that can... More

Thanks so much for the great review of Abigael's! We especially appreciate it since dining in a kosher establishment is not routine for you. We don't have a strong dress code, but the daytime does bring in a lot more suits, than the dinner crowds! Many thanks for visiting us and for sharing your thoughts. Alison P. Nathan Abigael's on... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
