Cho Dang Gol serve very authentic food so if you used to eat Korea food, there 'll be no problem. Every dishes are delicious although a little bit sweet for our taste.Service was very fast. The only minus point is the place seem very small so you can't have your meal very comfortably.

Few doors down from the Courtyard Marriott New York Herald Square. Wonderful service and choices of traditional Korean stone pot tofu soup meals with side dishes as accompaniment. Reasonablly priced and value.

I had noted this restaurant as a "visit if you're hungry and in the vicinity" and we ended up here for a late lunch one day. A bunch of questions were lost in translation between the waitress and us (a part of the experience?), but the food we got was delicious, with more exciting vegetarian options than I've seen in... Food seemed rushed and didn't enjoy the flavours, environment a little stressful as well. Perhaps a little too authentic for western taste.

There are many Korean restaurants in New York City but this one is slightly different. Starting from the small dishes you get in Korean restaurants, they offer some unique items like marinated mushrooms and sliced cucumbers. The Jun Gol, the hot soup pot, seems to be their title dish. We had the classic Kimchi and Kimchi with pork and both... More

I visited this restaurant twice during this NY visit and had Bibimbab which is only special in here. I like this one more than Woo Rae Ock restaurant. This restaurant is cheaper and tastes better.

This small Korean outpost is always a must for me when in New York. If you must try just one dish it is one of their spicy home made tofu dishes paired with white rice. This house specialty will keep you coming back again and again and guilt free too.

There are five or six Korean restaurants one next to the other near the Metro Hotel where we stayed (see separate review) . The three of us entered around 17:15 . The restaurant was full but we were lucky to get a table by the window without waiting . 15 minutes later there was already a line of some 20... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
