I booked a table before we left the Uk, which I advise. I wanted somewhere special to celebrate my mothers birthday. It was fantastic. Superb menu, & service. I made a request for a cake/dessert for my mom, & they delivered!! The waiters sang Happy Birthday, & presented her with a dessert with a candle. Best meal I ate whilst... More

Arrived at the restaurant for lunch, the place is very large so we were taken to our table immediately. Everything we tried was delicious - the bruschetta, ravioli and lasgna were really good. Did not care much for the desserts though.

Eaten here many times before. Had the lasagna which was excellent mainly because of the bechamel sauce they use. My wife had a disappointing minestrone soup. There was so much celery in it that it killed any taste. (Thus only four stars.)

I went to Osteria restaurant for a business lunch. I had a salmon salad and my colleague had a chicken salad. The food was fine, the service was very fast. I did not like the sitting as our table was in the far end of the L shaped restaurant with no windows or natural light, they managed to fit far... More

Went there with my wife, you was seated very quickly and they took your drinks order very quickly, followed by your meal orders, the meals arrived within about 25 minutes after being taken, the meals very very nice, the restaurant is about a 10 minute walk from Grand Central Station, what you must remember is that you have to put... We just finished watching Kinky Boots on Broadway and walked the streets before heading back to our hotel (Westin at Grand Central). Our daughters were hungry by the time returned and NO places were open for dinner...even Starbucks was closed! It was a little past 11 but Osteria accommodated our pizza order x 3 for take out and the pizzas... More

For more than 2 years I have business luncheons and meetings with friends in the Osteria. It's a great place hidden alon the 42nd Av. Staff is very very friendly (thanks ladies @ checkin !) and tables are very clean and organised (with great selection of Italian breads). The menu has a lot of delicious Italian dishes, and the wine... More

Arrived late in New York and went here on the recommendation of the concierge at the Barclay Hotel - a very good recommendation. The food was very good and a sensible portion size that suited adults and children alike. The calamari as a starter was delicious. The mains of various pizza and pasta dishes were likewise very good. The wine... More

A number of authentic regional dishes on the menu. Had the Pappardelle with lamb which was pretty good. By the glass wine selection was surprisingly quite limited for a restaurant like this...though noticed most in crowd were not drinking wine. Extraordinarily fast and hard working woman managing the bar--really should have been two there, but interesting to watch her keep... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
