This place is excellent. I've taken many friends here who are not vegetarian and they are always surprised at how good it is. Excellent food, well prepared, always creatively done. Will go back again and again.

Vegan might be fashion, but this Korean makes it surprisingly traditional with enough Asian flavors you are not used to. Outstanding service and recommendations, just trust and try.

ALL vegetarian classy food, we tried the fixed price menu and it was great. May be too much food at the end. My granddaughter is vegetarian and she was very happy. Take your shoes off and the atmosphere is very zen

Excellent dinner and experience - from start to finish. My husband, vegetarian, and I, pescatarian, dragged two omnivorous friends with us- we were all delighted. The atmosphere feels "authentic" with the sunken seating. Your shoes are taken off at the front - don't wear holy socks! I felt for the servers - all that bending over. We started with refreshing... This is such amazing place to be specially if you are vegan or vegetarian. The ambiance is just too good and serene. You have to remove your shoes and put them on a shoe rack before you go inside. I lov this rule because I have the same rule in my house, no shoes please. The seating is unique too.... More

This restaurant gives you an extrodinary tasting experience. I must say that I rank this place among the top 5 vegetarian restaurants I have been. Yes it was a bit steep priced but what do you expect in the center of the big Apple.

We had booked a table for our main eating experience in new york and when we arrived we were immediately impressed with the lighting, layout and greeting we received. We were seated into these cute tables and handed a extensive menu that exuded confidence and style. Unfortunately that is where the warm and fuzzy feeling ended. My pancakes were slightly... More

Visited Hangawi for dinner yesterday, it was fabulous. Great to see restaurants like this offering fantastic vegan food. Fabulous Atmosphere, service was second to none. Highly recommend the vegetarian dumplings and the tofu stone bowl!

At lunch the 4 course set meal for $24 is amazing value. There's a choice for each of the first 3 courses, and each of them is brought out and presented beautifully to you. Probably my favourite restaurant in New York.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
