I loved this place and if I were a local I would be here once a week. Obvious attention to detail and good food. Great service and they take special requests. Ask them for recommendations and they won't steer you wrong. Loved my pasta with short rib meat. Great atmosphere- intimate and you can carry on conversations with your table... More

Bistango is on our go-to list of restaurants whenever we visit NYC. Reservations strongly advised. It's a friendly, neighborhood place with white linens and great food. Can be noisy when busy. Our most recent visit was a Monday night at 6:30 pm, so things were somewhat quiet. We enjoyed two specials that evening, veal chops and a seafood stew. Both... More

We had an amazing dinner here! It starts off by them bringing freshly made hummus with the fresh bread (we had gluten free bread and it was soft and tasty) Our waiter was super knowledgable and tentative. We had the Eggplant parmesan and I had a halibut special which was incredible. Everything on the menu can be prepared gluten free... More

We went there for Sunday brunch and loved everything we ordered - mimosa, steak and eggs, mushroom with truffle oil flatbread, and pesto ravioli. Friendly wait staff and nice decor. Definitely will go back!

Really good modern Italian food - we had a three course meal each with different choices, and it was all excellent. Great, fresh flavours and a real attention to detail. There is an emphasis on gluten-free options (we didn't try any of these). I personally do not like a non-baked cheesecake, but the Bistango cheesecake is great!

Stumbled upon Bistango whilst out for an evening stroll, I was really excited to see it was an award winning GF restaurant as I generally struggle when eating out and hadn't been in an Italian restaurant since I was diagnosed as a coeliac almost 30 years ago! The first question the waiter asked was if either of us had any... More

It is my observation that the neighborhood in Manhattan's low 30s is not known as a destination spot for quality restaurants. There are plenty of bar/restaurants, dive bars, and dives, but there is also Bistango, an oasis in this culinary Sahara. Cocktails were generously poured thereby avoiding the need to ask for the other half, and the menu offerings ranged... More

Visited with my daughter on a Wednesday, we had no booking but they squeezed us in. The coeliac vegetarian options were some of the most amazing dishes I have seen. The risotto with lobster was also wonderful. We booked for the Saturday night and when we arrived we were greeted at the door with "welcome back" I was amazed at... More

Went there this evening, thoroghly enjoyed the meal and so did the rest of the family. The servrr was attentive and very nice. We had the prosciutto pizza, two dishes of ravioli and the stuffed chicken. All were excellent.

Being gluten-free and Italian dining is usually near-impossible. We went to Italy and had to live on caprese salads! Prior to our last visit to NYC, I found Bistango and decided to give it a try. I hoped I hadn't oversold when I drug my family there for dinner (3 of us are GF). Our experience was even better than... More
