Don't waste your time. Had a reservation for last night. Got there a few minutes early and checked in...party of 4, one of the four of us was settling the cab fare. The host turned us over to another young woman who rushed us up the steps. We told her we had another person who was with us, and she... More

We won a gift certificate for dinner at Keens. We sat in the tavern area which was cozy. Our food was good but nothing great. Our server made us feel as if we were second class citizens. We did not like the feel. We had our meal and a cocktail and were happy to leave.

This is THE place to have Thanksgiving dinner when in the city. The menu was perfect. The service exceptional. The food was out of this world. We wouldn't have Thanksgiving dinner anywhere else.

Selected this restaurant based on reviews and its history. Although food and service was good, I expected better. Limited selection of steaks. My steak was slightly overcooked and the seafood salad would have been better with less dressing.

Beautiful steakhouse and just around the corner from where we were staying (The Refinery). Be mindful that the restaurant is quite small and bookings are limited where walk-ins are the norm. Ensure you get there early and you will not regret a trip for dinner here! I opted for the 12oz Filet Mignon medium-rare, cooked to perfection. Enjoy!

We wanted a special treat while in NYC and my husband found high ratings for Keens Steakhouse. We had a late reservation (9:45) and we were dining with our 3 kids (7,10, 12) after the Rockettes Christmas show. I had seen somewhere that this was not kid friendly, so I was a little concerned. Our kids are pretty good in... More

The food was great. The short ribs melted in my mouth. The Caesar salad was really good. Avoid the House Salad. The restaurant is dark and small. We were seated in the small room to the right when you walk in. Be prepared for a big bill.

Wonderful filet, creamed spinach (which I don't normally care for) and desserts. Gracious staff. Recommend reservations.

My husband wanted to go to a "real New York steakhouse" so this is where we were directed. I had never had Oysters Rockefeller, and my father was hesitant to try them here because he frequents the restaurant in New Orleans where they were invented. He was thrilled to say that they were very similar to what he gets in... More

Keens Steakhouse, a classic New York chophouse, was already famous for its steaks and chops at the turn of the century. Founded in 1885, Keens has 90,000 clay pipes that line the ceilings – pipes once smoked by customers after dinner. Today Keens legendary mutton chops and dry aged prime steaks are still without equal in the city.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
