It was raining and our hotel was just across the street so we went to The Long Room for dinner. We liked the ambiance right away and our dinner was tasty. The service was a bit slow at times but we had a good time nevertheless. A good choice for pub dishes on a high level.

If you want a fantastic select of beer, this is the place to fo in midtown. A sister restaurant to St Andrews, the first Scottish Restaurant on NYC, it's a the place to cool off on a hot NYC day. Actually, it's a great place to go anytime of the year

Great atmosphere, great location 44th and 6th. Food was amazing for pub food. I had the Shepherds Pie, with a neat twist, chicken and boursin cheese mashed. Yum! We had the spinach and artichoke dip to start, also delicious. Highly recommend. Not a wild pub atmosphere, laid back and elegant.

Went for dinner first night in the city. OK food, but really salty, had Pizza. Probably would not go back, but partially because there are so many other places around. Location is great though. Near Times Square.

my office is two blocks away and we frequently eat lunch here. Food is journeyman bar food - plentiful and fairly priced. we like the burgers.

This bar was directly opposite the AKA where we were staying so proved very convenient stop for two weary travellers. As we usually arrived back early evening this was our go to bar for cold beer or glass of wine before heading back to the apartment. The size is very deceiving, from a very narrow frontage the place seems to... More

Came here for some late night drinks after a show. The staff seemed quite indifferent when we said we weren't going to eat anything which was a bit odd. Drinks were ok though and it was a nice enough place. Maybe just came on a bad night.

Not your typical NYC Irish pub...in a good way. Yes they have lots of beer and traditional menu options. But the menu also offers variety; my wife had beets and roasted butternut squash with goat cheese and arugula sandwich on multigrain bread. I had roast turkey with stuffing, chutney and cranberry mayo on ciabatta. And prices are very reasonable for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
