My husband and I have been here a few times before and every time we find the same thing: Amazing food and wine, but you better be prepared to wait for it. The servers are kind and polite, but the food takes forever. It isn't unusual to wait 40 minutes for your appetizers. The restaurant is busy, no doubt as... More

The draw of Le Marais is not only for its steaks, which are excellent, but also the location, right off Times Square, perfect for an indulgent steak dinner before going to the theatre. Ambiance is nice, very typical of a steakhouse, dark with lots of wood, and a bit on the noisy side. Big portions, delicious aged steaks. Recommended

Even though the restaurant was crowded, we did get our choice of seating. Service was great and was impressed with the food.

Had the 16 oz ribeye, medium rare. Did not disapoint: juicy, cooked the way I ordered and sided with fries and salad, both also delicious. Waiters were really friendly, and the price wasn't high for the excellent overall service. Was also impressed with the couver, simple and delicious. Warm bread and a wonderful portuguese olive oil. Really good.

Sadly, like to so many theatre district restaurants, the schedule and crowds turn many restaurants into "puppy mills" turning out meal after meal with perfunctory service. We pretty much finished our appetizer before our bottle of wine ever arrived at the table. It did give our server possibly a much needed break to have a conversation with one of her... More

Probably the best kosher steak I have ever tasted. Definitely on the pricey side, and the service was slightly slow, but the food makes up for it.

Eat here regularly. Food always very good. This time service better than usual - maybe due to off-hours visit (4pm). Would return.

Haven't been to Le Marais for a few years. Had a chance to catch dinner after a show with my wife and daughter. Food was ok at best. Lots of staff so service is quick. If your looking for a solid meal it does the trick. But it's not a real dining experience. Seems like the restraunt really needs to... More

Frequented restaurant in past, my first visit in a decade. Basic steak first came overdone then underdone (but tolerable), so eating harmony among those in our party was out of sync - that horrible feeling when some have their order & others don't. Person in charge had trouble sympathizing. Food itself was fine - I had lamb, to die for... More

Good Kosher steaks. Beware of the special, the steak is thin and tends to get overcooked. Heavy on the French fries, 5 bucks to substitute fries for a vegetable. On a regular steak like a rib eye, they can cook it the way you want. A bit pricy. Excellent service.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
