Be warned! Despite favorable reviews from out of town hicks, this is not a quality dining experience. Let’s start with the poor quality food. The special Fantasia salad was nothing more tasty or unique than your average pizza place. The cold roasted vegetable soup had...More

The patio was beautiful, peaceful, the wine list was perfect and the food was delicious. It couldn't have been a better place to dine after my first Broadway play. Truly a magical experience. Oh and the waiter was fantastic. They serve dinner until 11 pm...More

We ate dinner here pre-theatre during Restaurant Week and loved everything about this place. Exemplary service, attention to detail and wonderful food. Can’t wait to return!

The first time I dined at Barbetta was thirty odd years ago. Loved it. Sorry to say the romance has ended. Barbetta still has old-world charm. The dining room is luxurious and beautiful, reminiscent of the most opulent restaurants in Europe. There’s also a lovely...More

This is a throwback to great dining. The building is a classic 19th century brownstone, beautifully kept up. The staff is very professional. The food is classic and traditional, but fabulously prepared. There is a pre-theater price-fixed menu that is real price performer.

I forgot to make a dinner reservation until a few hours before I was seeing a broadway play . As I am a native New Yorker, I see quite a few plays and eat in the city constantly. I like modern, edgy non touristy restaurants...More

For an important birthday, my wife surprised me with dinner at Barbetta last Friday evening. However the experience was no surprise, because I knew the service, food and atmosphere would be excellent -- in fact, it exceeded expectations. We had a table in the garden,...More

It is a very nice restaurant so I wouldn't go too casual-no jeans/t shirts. It's always nice to show respect for yourselves and the venue by looking good.
