Just because this is New York City doesn't mean that *every* restaurant is fabulous. And, while fabulous sushi can be had in NYC for non-astronomical prices, it isn't at Sushiden. The sushi was OK, just OK. We sampled broadly and nothing shone. Not terrible but not stellar either.

very friendly staff. Quick service and seriously the best sushi I have ever had. It was a bit pricey but totally worth it. You can see the sushi being made in front of you.

This place didn't blow us away. It was pretty reasonable in price and the sushi wasn't bad. The place could do with a face lift. Overall we left feeling fed rather than having had a meal experience. There are better places to go but if you're outside and can't be bothered to search for somewhere else it's not tragically bad... More

20 people in and out in 1 hour. We had a concert to attend. Got there at around 5:45, got out around 7:00. We walk to Carnegie Hall. Only. 8 blocks away. Good place for pre theater/ concert.

Their special wide maki was just too big, and I did not like it very much, with some egg-something making it even bigger. The 'sashimi A' was good *3 kinds, 8 slices). It was also a tad bit too warm inside. My score is average (3/5) as I don't want to give a bad score just because I didn't like... More

Swung in here for a quick lunch. The staff was very friendly and there were quite a few business locals in here. We knew it would be good!! And it sure was!! We were greeted with warm towels and friendly service, followed by super fresh sushi. Highly recommend!!

One of the best sushi restaurants in NYC. The food is tastefully (and tastily) prepared. The setting is elegant an the staff most friendly.

We came in, thinking we would have a sushi in a somewhat up standard restaurant. Yes, they do serve all sushi you would like. But we we ended up eating a nice Japanese beef dish. Nice, well tasting and with a lot of good vegetables. But what will make us remember them, is the kind, lovely, stylish serving they give.... More

I was there with two other people. Two of us had fresh fish and the third person had sushi. The fish was well cooked and the portions were generous. All the salad they brought us was limp, and all the vegetables way overcooked. The sushi was good too. They have a wide variety of sake to choose from. On the... More

Well prepared sushi served quickly (service was very good overall). Location convenient, though overall price is a little high (though not crazy for so close to Times Square).

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
