Food was OK but service was very disappointing. My first clue should have been that we were one of only two tables with customers. I had to go find the waitress twice. Lots of choices in NYC to get better food and service.More

To whom it may concern the other day I decided to go back to your restaurant. This time with my co~workers. Once again the food was absolutely amazing. The beverages where on point. Sandy was absolutely amazing. My enjoyment was short live by the horrific...words that came out of your waiter and a few of his friends. Don’t worry this time I got there names waiter name was Johnny and the other guy was Angel. The cruelty of words that came out of there mouth really was disappointing. They were absolutely rude and Obnoxious. Saying racial slurs. Bullying words about the bartender. They where loud enough for us to here. FYI I speak very fluent Spanish. The worst part was that my co ~workers where there listening and watching this mess go down. I’m disappointed. This should be a place where one can wind down and just relax. Not listen to your people making fun of someone and bullying them. Let’s talk really quick about your bartender. I have been going to your restaurant for the past few years she has to be one of your top bartenders. Honestly she is the reason why I send my clientele. Unfortunately I can’t speak much about the other young man that is a bartenders. She is very welcoming always with a smile and you can tell she loves what she does and represents your restaurant very well. Something should be done with those young men.More

The atmosphere was nice, it wasn't overly crowded. Staff was very friendly. Food was subpar for the price. But everything in ny is overpriced, right?More

Love this restaurant. We will definitely come back the next time we are in the city. It was close to the August Wilson theater which is where we went afterwards. The service is excellent. The food is good. The value is good.

It was restaurant week and we were struggling to make a reservation. The concierge at our hotel made the suggestion (and the reservation). We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food & reasonable prices. Our server was fabulous - great personality & very good...service. The Gnocchi, Pear & Endive Salad & Lobster Bisque were fantastic. The special appetizer cheese dish was also spectacular. This is a small place, and it fills up quickly. Highly recommendMore

I chose this restaurant based upon other favorable reviews I read online. Was looking for something to close proximity of the Winter Garden and my family preferred Italian. Price, menu choices were also important. This dinner and theatre tickets were a holiday gift to our...daughters. We aren't usually all together like this very often because one lives in the Boston area. The menu online didn't coincide with what was handed us at the table. Less choices and slightly higher prices. When we sat down we had lovely attention but as the restaurant slowly filled up, we were almost like ignored. The portions were ok, neither bad but not great! The bread was horrible. One of my daughters and I ordered the Pollo Scappariello. It came with an overload of mushrooms which was very nice, but was that because they were making up for not putting in any sausage. Neither of us remember tasting any! They wouldn't offer substitutions whatsoever! I don't eat mashed potatoes and wouldn't change that for anything else! When it came time for dessert (cheesecake - very good), we had to start rushing so we wouldn't be late for the start of the show. (our dinner reservations were for 5pm). My biggest gripe is that we ordered a bottle of wine (Dark Horse Cabernet). It cost $70. This was the biggest rip off of the night!!! I couldn't write this review sooner (ate here Jan. 7th)because whenever thinking about this, I get so disgusted. Nor can I ever tell my husband of this because he'll never let me order a bottle of wine again at a restaurant in NY! When visiting several liquor stores in my town and neighboring towns, this wine sells for a little less than $8. to just a bit more than $8. How can you in your right mind sell the same bottle of wine for $70!!! I can naturally understand a small mark up but nothing like this. It's unheard of! Please think long and hard about choosing this restaurant to eat at when looking for something close to Times Square and Broadway .More

We reserved a table for 13 for dinner before taking the group to see Mean Girls. The restaurant was ready for this large group during a very busy time on a Saturday evening -- we were very impressed! The service was excellent and every dish...that was ordered was absolutely delicious! Everyone was very happy and we had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing dinner! We are so thankful to the staff and management at Azalea for helping to make it a fun, yummy and memorable evening! We can't wait to go back!More

We visited Azalea before catching a show at the Winter Garden theater around the comer.. We were quickly seated and well taken care of by the attentive wait staff. Five in our party and we all tried something different and everything was wonderful from your...basic spaghetti and meatballs and to lasagna to the Pollo Azalea it was all wonderful! Portions were on the small size for the price but very tasty. One word of caution soda (ie coke) are not refillable and each round comes with a new $4+ charge and they were quick to offer "more soda" to which my kids said ok and Dad felt the pain in his wallet. All in all a wonderful place for a fancy pre-show meal but might be better suited to families or groups without younger children.More

Love this restaurant. Ate ate the bar after the theatre, as we couldn’t get reservations. Delightful bartender. Began with our favorite appetizer, sformatino di pere, an amazing pear and Gorgonzola soufflé served with a parmesan fondue. Have tried to get their recipe with no success!...Lasagna was light and delicate; butternut ravioli also light, deliciously rich. Nice bottle of red wine accompanied this great meal. Ended with limoncello on the house. We will be back!!More

As i said in my review, I would not recommend it - the food was not good and service just passable. If you told them you had a show, they would try to accommodate, though.
