About
In 1996 MEE Noodle Shop was born with the idea to bring to New Yorkers and visitors the most delicious and nutritious noodles in town. Our Cantonese noodles come in a large variety of combinations. They are fulfilling and healthy as well. Our menu is very comprehensive and we offer many terrific choices. A great meal for a long day of traversing NYC, that was the idea then and that's what we still offer today.

Simply outstanding Chinese food. Have been coming here for decades. A favorite among Broadway musicians. Among my favorites: Cumin lamb, steamed vegetable dumplings, roast pork, roast duck, Chinese broccoli with garlic. Also terrific are their delicious home-style Chinese recipes, like eggs with scallions and shredded beef with hot chili peppers. Pair them with the Sancerre they have on their wine list for an extra-uplifting meal!

It's been years since I've eaten here, because NYC has so many choices. However, since I was staying just a few blocks away, and wanted Asian food on my last day in Manhattan, I stopped by and ordered a bowl of pork and pickled cabbage noodles. Oh my, it was so delicious! It was nicely packaged and still hot when I got back to my lodgings. Wow, so much food, all of which I HAD to eat. The noodles were wonderfully chewy and the pork was very plentiful. The value can't be beat. I highly recommend Mee Noodle Shop!

I got the double pan fried seafood noodle. I noticed it was cheaper than the usual. The brocollu smelled a bit. There was a good bit of imitation crab that I am not a fan of. I ate it. But I would have ordered something different had I known better. The food on other tables looked more appetizing.

We ordered our food through Grubhub for delivery. The food came early however only 2 of the 5 dishes we ordered were correct. After calling the restaurant I was told that they would call me back to figure out how the order got messed up. They called back to say the order receipt was stapled to the wrong bag of food. They then told me I need to return the 3 orders that were wrong and that they would pick up the food. Strangely, they were not going to reimburse me for the wrong order or do anything about it. Sadly, I will never go to this restaurant again.

Came across this place by accident. The food is really good, the staff very helpful can't fault it. Speed of service very good, certainly worth trying out

What a fantastic dining experience! The service was great. Staff was responsive and efficient. The food itself was over the top, delicious. All three dishes were cooked with fine ingredients and flavored perfectly. I recommend the Cold Sesame Noodles, the Brocolli with Garlic Sauce, and Sesame Tofu. The tofu itself was fried and had a lovely crunchy outside. Everything had a little kick to it, which was welcome. Portions were generous; there was even enough to bring a bit home! When back in the region, I would not hesitate to go again!

Have been eating here for years when in the neighborhood. My wife and I love Chinese soups as they make a great meal with the proper ingredients added. Mee Noodles special soups are unique and cannot be beat. Basically you can build your own from a variety of bases. (This item is not on their online menu.) There are many items to add to the soup, both meat and vegetarian, All of the ingredients are fresh and tasty. One large bowl can feed 2 for less than $15. If still hungry can add a dish or an appetizer. The other dishes are OK, but soup is the reason to go!

Very good food (I loved the Tofu Sizzling Platter), large portions and reasonable prices. Family of four ate dinner for less than $50! And we had enough leftovers to each have another meal. Staff is efficient; food was ready very quickly. I would recommend trying MEE.

Surprisingly, Mee Noodle Shop wasn't bad. If you want something a little better than Panda, this will suffice. The pan fried noodles are actually decent, while the other meat dishes are average.

Had dinner there tonight. Took ages for the food to come out. Ordered a chicken with garlic sauce. I couldn’t taste any garlic at all. I enjoyed the pork bun though. Overall I’d say it’s ok but overrated

I spent several weeks during the summer in NY and stumbled upon this jewel. If you like Chinese food, then this is the place to try. My daughter and I truly enjoyed our meal selections. I had the chicken with garlic sauce and brown rice. The portions were fairly large. I had enough to take with me for a midnight snack. The staff are polite and attentive. Upon returning to NY for a short weekend trip, I was able to take my husband for this experience. He loved it! He ordered the curry rice with pineapple, shrimp, chicken, and pork. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I went to Mee years ago, and found it ironic how myself nor the person who I was dining with did not order noodles (which is what Mee is). I had it in the back of my mind to go back and order noodles. At the previous time of visit I would rate this place pretty average. Years later I went back and found a few nice surprises: 1) The place looked a lot better than it did before. Don't get me wrong, it isn't a luxury dining environment or anything now, but back in the day it almost felt like a worn out canteen-type place. Now it is smaller (probably about half the size it used to be), and it looks better, with a bit more of nice feel. 2) I had a noodle soup dish and the noodles were really quite nice. Tasted and looked authentic and of the fresh kind (vs dried noodles that are boiled to make them edible), and I would go back to get the noodles again. Try out the noodles!

this place is just ok for me to eat there regularly enough, but if there was another decent option close by, I'd go in a heartbeat. Nothing special

The food is wonderful. The restaurant is clean and modern. I ordered the pick three, this comes with your choice of a noodle, I chose the Cantonese Noodle, coconut curry and fish balls. The entire dish was flavorful and delicious.

Just a couple of minutes walk from Times Square. Worth checking out. Great value and tastier food than in Chinatown. We (family of 4) ate here one lunchtime. Lots of choices, friendly service, lovely food!

Hell's Kitchen
Just a few strides from the pulsing beat of Times Square, Hell’s Kitchen has a much more local pulse than its buzzing neighbor. The low-key vibe is part of the appeal, but there’s also a new energy arriving in the neighborhood in the form of modern residential buildings with new retail and food shops. Ninth Avenue is lined with restaurants of all types, from tiny Thai hangouts and Italian trattorias to French bistros and Southern cuisine. Just show up hungry and walk up and down the street, you are bound to find something that looks good. For a more classic taste of the city, grab a bite to eat along Restaurant Row (46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) before a Broadway show. The Hudson River provides a break from the city blocks with riverside views, piers for boat tours, and parks perfect for a stroll.
