Horrible service and the prices are not even remotely close to the ones listed online. So many options for sushi in the city - don't pick that one.More

I don't enjoy eating at any other Japanese restaurant since I tried Kodama. I've been there at least a dozen times, and it's always excellent. The thing that makes it really special is the black rice. You can have it with any dish (for a...More

Thank you very much Madeline. Glad to hear that you enjoyed our natural black rice. Actually according to many studies, black rice has more antioxidant than blueberry and more vitamin and minerals than brown rice. please stay healthy with black rice! thanks again

The sushi was good, however very disappointing to pay the bill with a tip of 13% and be told off by the waiter that “ the tip was not enough.... and don’t come back”. Very very rude service, especially considering that we had been told...More

Very good black rice sushi with quite interesting starters options. I’ve dropped my dumpling into the soy sauce and they immediately came with extra wipes and lemon juice so I could clean my shirt. The fish and other ingredients were fresh, cold enough and tasty....More

Checked it out on Trip Advisor and got ourselves seated at the counter. It’s in a busy area and obviously gets a lot of footfall. Quite a few Westernised Japanese dishes and lots of sauces being liberally applied. Whilst the food was alright (I’m not...More

My spouse and I dined at Kodama for lunch on a Sunday afternoon in late July 2018. Kodama is open daily from 12:00 noon until either 10:30/11:00/11:30 pm, depending on the night of the week. The restaurant also offers delivery and takeout during those same...More

The sushi dishes were fresh, tasty, and innovative. The sushi prices are a bit high, but the quality of fish is excellent. The wait staff was attentive, inviting, and helpful. The atmosphere is a cross between a traditional Japanese restaurant and a typical NYC establishment--...More

This is actually one of our two 'Go To' Convenient sushi establishments in Hell's Kitchen. Because of its general reliability, we found ourselves back there. HOWEVER, I had never ordered their "popular" mixed tempura entrée (shrimp/chicken/veggies). So let's start from the top to be fair....More

Hell's Kitchen
Just a few strides from the pulsing beat of Times
