We stayed recently at the Sofitel in NYC and decided to try dinner at Gaby the night of our arrival. We found our server Meti (probably misspelled) to be a great server and attentive. The menu is limited but with sufficient options. It was Restaurant Week in NYC and Gaby was participating so there were several fixed price options. We... More

Very disappointed in the meals I had there. Work colleagues were there and I had to join them in the hotel restaurant where we stayed. Breakfast was very expensive for what you received. Coffee for $7.00? Really? Food was a little greasy and not what you would expect from a nice hotel. Salmon at lunch was overcooked as was the... More

We stopped for lunch at Gaby's believing that as we had stayed in many Sofitel hotels it would be an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Unfortunately we were to be treated to a lack lustre display verging almost on indifference to the quality of the food and the service. Our aperitifs took almost 20 mins to arrive and our lunch only... More

After a long travel day I had some champagne and a charcuterie platter at the hotel bar. I had intended to have dinner but was an hour early for serving time so instead had champagne with a selection of great cheeses, cornichons and prosciutto.

We were staying at the Sofitel, and are generally suspicious of hotel dining rooms, but Gaby was fine. Nice modest reasonably priced menu. The wait stay was as pleasant as could be. The view onto 45th street was very pleasant. One of our more peasant hotel dining experiences.

Staying in the hotel, it was convenient for us to eat here a couple of times. Breakfast, though by no means cheap, was good value for money with quality ingredients and the French background to the hotel ownership shows through. We also had dinner which was also excellent.

We stayed at the Sofitel Hotel and decided to try their restaurant for breakfast. The food was higher priced than other places in the area, but the quality was worth the price. I had the scrambled eggs with cheese, avocado and asparagus over pita bread which was unique and simply delicious. It was rich and very filling, but so good... More
