My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Tout Va Bien during our recent stay in NYC. The bistro is located on a quiet section of 51st street, just off 8th Avenue. We were staying at the hotel across the street; and we were drawn in by the cozy appearance and the menu. We were not at all disappointed!... More

My daughter and I went for dinner prior to the theatre and so enjoyed it. We didn't want to leave - the ambiance, the food and the fantastic waiters made for a perfect time. You won't be disappointed with this restaurant. Make reservations! The escargot are wonderful. And their homemade sangria is great.

Have you made plans for Valentine's Day?No? Well go and reserve a spot for two at this place, Tout Va Bien. Translation: All is well. This is a small, cozy, very romantic restaurant. I went here with my wife on Tuesday. I ordered the pâté maison (house pâté) for a starter, which I'd hoped my wife would share with me.... More

I have been going here for the past 30 years, romantic in a old Paris way, their artichokes are wonderful, omelets amazing, and their Beef Bourguignon, is the best in the city. perfect location in the Theater district.

The place was good. I had heir bouillabaisse and it was tasty. Their salmon tartare was also not bad. This is can be good for a quick grab. The atmosphere was not romantic. I would come back in a year.

Tout Va Bien is a must eat at restaurant whenever I come to NYC. I always have the prix fixe menu which is a great deal. My most recent meal was outstanding - the coq au vin was rich and delicious. I will be back

Went here for years, classic French reliable with old world ambience and a very lively French crowd at the bar watching soccer and drinking Kronenberg and house wine. Places which attempt to "recreate" this sort of atmosphere should drop in for some lessons. For some reason we hadn't been back for awhile but we heard from the owner of Parigot... More

Foie gras among best I've had state-side and bouillabaise excellent as well. Wife enjoyed duck a l'orange and escargot. Our waiter's recommendation of young sancerre was perfect. Highly recommend.

At least ten family-owned French bistros in NYC, over two decades, have departed this world. Fancy new eateries featuring elegant French meals though have opened up around Manhattan, where the per person tab exceeds $120 p.p. Tout Va Bien however continues to put forth well-prepared French country cooking for around $50 p.p. for 3 courses, including a glass of wine.... More

We very much enjoyed the food at Tout Va Bien on New Years Eve. The food was delicious. The moules was excellent, the fries were excellent, the fois gras creme brûlée was interesting and the salade lyonnaise was deliciously authentic. The only problem is that the restaurant is very dated. It was opened in 1948 and stilllooks like a very... More

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
