They use some tables that should not be used. Paying over $300 for dinner and sitting next to clanking plates at a busboy station is just not right. I work in NYC and have eaten at some of the best places, food is good (and expensive) but it would not compensate for the noise we endured. I am not complaining... More

As usual i had a fantastic dinner, fish is fresh and cooked with diligence without spoiling the taste of it. only one catch, wine list is fantastic but they should consider some excellent wine bottles that are on the market and would fall under 150$ !!!!!!

The food was great -- fresh, well prepared, tasty. You get to choose your own fish from an enticing selection of fresh fish on ice (some still living). But the prices were absurd. There are plenty of other top notch Greek restaurants in New York which do not extract an entire week's paycheck.

Took my daughter to this restaurant last week when I was in town - she loved it! Had the octopus and Mediterranean sea bass for two. Just delicious!!! Perfectly prepared - and simple without a lot of sauces. Be warned the meals are expensive - spent $300 for two with no cocktails. But if you want fresh seafood this a... More

Mystified and disappointed would be the best way to describe our feelings after paying £210 for dinner here. We have spent almost 30 years travelling in Greece and we decided to try a Greek restaurant in NYC during our trip last week. The only thing that vaguely resembled anything Greek tasting in the 4 course set menu was the Greek... More

Many different types of fish. All fresh and all cooked to perfection. Before getting it you must have the patience of waiting for your table at the bar or in the crowded entrance and then waiting at your table for the waiter to pay attention to you. Both waits can take a long time. While waiting, do not try to... More

Of the many years we've stayed in midtown, we can't believe we missed Estiatorio Milos. We had the BEST fish we have had since we ate Dover sole in Dover England. We hadn't intended to have the pre-fixed dinner, but it looked so wonderful, we tried it. Every course was beyond expectations--crab cake with jumbo shrimp was excellent, the vegetables... More

Even though we felt a little out of place among the power people, we enjoyed our meals from the prix fixe menu. The Canadian scallops were wonderful; the tomato salad had traditional Greek flavors. Our entrees were the tuna burger and the bream, both delicious, but the bream had lots of bones. The price seemed reasonable for NYC - $29... More

Description
It was in 1980, when Chef-Owner Mr. Costas Spiliadis opened the first Estiatorio Milos on Park Avenue, Montreal. The reason seemed obvious to him: the need to elevate the sophistication of Greek cuisine abroad far away from its stereotyped forklorization.

'I wanted to change what people thought about Greek cuisine, make sure it's being appreciated and awarded with its rightful place on an international level!'

As a small restaurant, Milos gained the trust of the Montrealers in no time. The menu being always simple and impeccably fresh, drew the attention of the media and food critics from around the world. NY Post has triumphly started that 'Milos fish could only be fresher if it swam to your plate!'

What was the secret that made Milos stand out? Its focus in finding the purest Mediterranean products and cooking with the freshest ingredients.Through 35 years of intensive research, we have managed to build lasting relationships with growers and small-scale fisheries at the shores of Greece, Morocco, Tunisia and Portugal, flying in our fish and seafood daily by plane! Milos has since then taken the world by strom and opened in 1997 in NYC, in 2004 in Athens,in 2010 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas and in 2012 in Miami Beach and in 2015 in London!

We invite you to live the Milos experience and celebrate with us our 35th year anniversary!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
