It was in 1980, when Chef-Owner Mr. Costas Spiliadis opened the first Estiatorio Milos on Park Avenue, Montreal. The reason seemed obvious to him: the need to elevate the sophistication of Greek cuisine abroad far away from its stereotyped forklorization.

'I wanted to change what people thought about Greek cuisine, make sure it's being appreciated and awarded with its rightful place on an international level!'

As a small restaurant, Milos gained the trust of the Montrealers in no time. The menu being always simple and impeccably fresh, drew the attention of the media and food critics from around the world. NY Post has triumphly started that 'Milos fish could only be fresher if it swam to your plate!'

What was the secret that made Milos stand out? Its focus in finding the purest Mediterranean products and cooking with the freshest ingredients.Through 35 years of intensive research, we have managed to build lasting relationships with growers and small-scale fisheries at the shores of Greece, Morocco, Tunisia and Portugal, flying in our fish and seafood daily by plane! Milos has since then taken the world by strom and opened in 1997 in NYC, in 2004 in Athens,in 2010 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas and in 2012 in Miami Beach and in 2015 in London!

We invite you to live the Milos experience and celebrate with us our 35th year anniversary!

First Time Wont Be the Last!

Fantastic service and exquisite cuisine. Expensive, but great value for the money. Splurge here and you wont be disappointed! Had Lavraki, calamari, scallops, and a beet salad...all most impressive!

Met several friends here on a wintry day for lunch and it felt like we had been transported to a Greek market. The fixed price lunches are the way to go - delicious seafood and great bread.

There is nothing not to like about this restaurant. Just be prepared to bring money. The atmosphere is modern (white on white). It is busy. In no way "homey". The service is good (not great). They show you the fish, which is fun. The food is fresh, wonderfully prepared, and delicious. But bring money. Prices are steep.

My husband had hosted a successful business dinner in one of the private dining rooms at Milos and we were eager to try it when we were in NYC on a weeknight in December. Our hotel concierge thought it would be difficult to get a table, but we went early and were seated up front near a window. It's a... More

I visited Milos in December, 2015 and it was an extremely pleasant experience. The seafood was outstanding! It was the best I have ever tasted.

We ordered the executive menu. Very good price, great food, good service (the restaurant is always crowded). Wine list is great.. had a white Greek wine... amazing. Please order the octopus... it is a piece of heaven.

There is no doubt about it, in terms of food is one of the best restaurants I have ever been in NYC, service is also good and everything I asked for was totally delicious, drinks very well served and wine list is good in selection. The only thing I don't like is the restaurant decoration, it makes me think I... More

Walking in to Milos you automatically feel like you "made it". It is always bustling with beautiful people and the ambiance only enhances the experience with these high ceilings made of futuristic yet warm substances. AFter you take your seat, you are immediately escorted to the display of fish on ice. At 8 pm on a Friday night, there was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
