Service made the difference! The food was delicious , traditional,Greek cuisine. Just what you expect and deserve. The staff was on top of their game. Get to know them. It makes the experience personal. A repeat visit for my family.

Was in NYC on business and hotel recommended this place which was just around the corner. So glad they did - very good little neighborhood authentic Greek restaurant. I'd highly recommend if you are staying in the area. Service was a little slow... Took us probably 10 minutes to get drunk order made after sitting, but the staff was friendly.

Great Greek restaurant that does not look much from the front but opens up as you go further in.Enjoyed a lovely relaxed evening with meatball and sausage starters and lamb and beef kebabs on a bed of savoury rice, a crevat (one and half litres of Greek red wine 20$)of red wine and two bottles of Mexican beer one on... I had a superb brook trout, delivered whole (including the tail and head). Upon request, the chef will fillet it for you. My cup on tasty Greek soup was as large as most bowels of soup in most restaurants. Most of the staff have been there for many years, including the male waiters. While I dine in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen... More

We called in Uncle Nicks for lunch after a morning in Central Park during the record October temperatures. We were seated and immediately greeted with iced water and frequently topped up without asking. We both ate from the lunch specials menu $10 inc. a fountain soda for a selection of entrees. We both opted for Greek Salad which you can... More

The food and service at nicks was great. We had flaming cheese for an appetizer and a trio of meat with salad and pita for the entire. Sevice was perfect no rushing us in or out in fact the manager come outside with us to see us off back to our hotel. It will be the first restaurant that we... More

We ended up at Uncle Nick's because the middle eastern restaurant we were going to was closed for the holiday. I'd been to Uncle Nick's years ago and wasn't all that impressed but this time it was surprisingly good. Every dish was tasty especially the grilled calamari. Prices are not cheap but portions are pretty large. They had a little... More

An ok experience. The food was reasonable. Try the gimmicky flaming cheese, a piece of Halloumi, I think. Set aflame with some accelerant and delivered piping hot to your table. Main courses are typically kebabs served in the main with rice. If you ever happen to go and the weather is fair ask for an outside seat. We did not... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
