We ended up at Uncle Nick's because the middle eastern restaurant we were going to was closed for the holiday. I'd been to Uncle Nick's years ago and wasn't all that impressed but this time it was surprisingly good. Every dish was tasty especially the grilled calamari. Prices are not cheap but portions are pretty large. They had a little... More

An ok experience. The food was reasonable. Try the gimmicky flaming cheese, a piece of Halloumi, I think. Set aflame with some accelerant and delivered piping hot to your table. Main courses are typically kebabs served in the main with rice. If you ever happen to go and the weather is fair ask for an outside seat. We did not... More

The food is solidly reliable it is simply tourist priced. Unfortunately, this is the midtown dilemma in general. Rents have risen so prices and table minimums go up. Given the simplicity of ingredients and the type of food, the prices just grate on me. The place could be cleaner and the staff more attentive but the place gets crazy busy.... More

My family ate here twice during our trip to New York City; the food is amazing and full of flavor; the staff incredibly welcoming and friendly. The restaurant itself has a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

This part of 9th Ave is filled with restaurants aimed at the fringe of Broadway tourism. They use every trick to lure you in - gaudy signs, soliciting you from their doorways, pretentious but vapid menus, semi-lucid revelers shouting through open windows over loud music, interesting looking foods on display (that are usually over-priced and barely edible). And then there's... More

We never miss a dinner at Uncle Nick's when my sisters come to visit on my birthday. The food is always delicious. The restaurant does a great job accommodating dietary restrictions (my sister is vegan.) We always have a great time. Thanks!

Ate here with group of friends and we all loved our meals. Shared hot/cold sampler app. I had halibut and friends had flounder. Only complaint is portions were enormous. Come hungry and don't expect to finish your meal. Definitely will come back before next B'way nite.

The lamb kabobs were fabulous, and the spanakopita was the best I've had. Generous salad portion and yummy appetizer dip plate. I'll be back!

I found the food very mediocre. Even the fries, which is hard to mess up, we're just meh...Lastly, prices were not cheap given the average quality. Regret not having gone elsewhere.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
