Excellent food. Try the $29.95 3-course prie fixe menu--Caesar salad, Chicken Parmigiana and cheese cake for me, and worth more than that. We ate outside--inside is a bit loud, but it was a beautiful night and we took advantage of it. Highly recommended.

We found this restaurant just wandering around, just fancied Italian and had a great meal, in lovely surroundings. The service was good and the food really tasty. Fixed price menu was really good value.

An extremely welcoming little restaurant in 9th ave New York near the theatre district. Food is great and service even better, a good place for a relaxed dinner, before or after the theatre. It takes a great place to remember it's one off patrons when they turn up several nights later, on their last night in NYC.

We wen't there to have dinner on New year's eve 2010. We hand an amazing time, the mood in the restaurant was festive but not annoying. Our dishes were good. I was mad when I realized the charged me 34$ for a bottle of water. But still, I couldn't wait to go back. I did not have a tripadvisor account... More

After a busy sightseeing day, we came across this restaurant serving traditional Italian cuisine in Hells Kitchen. We were pleased to secure a table pretty quickly. The service was friendly and the lighting a bit subdued. We enjoyed the linguini vongole, soup of the day, garden salad with red Italian wine.

We enjoyed the pasta so much we came back and ordered the same thing the next day(I'm a coeliac foodie and I've NEVER gone back again while somewhere new) . Nice atmosphere (not too noisy not too quiet) and service was great. My only gripe was to offer a GF dessert other than sorbet... A traditional Panna Cotta and the... More

Friendly and high quality of service and food. The home made pasta is beyond perfect and the linguine vongole or any dish including pasta is a must visiting this place. The Tiramisu was excellent with very well balanced ingredients turning this evening and meal into a perfect dinner experience.

When in New York, I always stay at the Belvedere on 48th between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, so Pietrasanta is one of my neighborhood restaurants. The place occupies a prominent corner at 47th Street on Ninth Avenue and the place is always busy. Dining indoors and out with very prompt and attentive service. On my last visit, it was a... More

This is a good Italian restaurant near the theater district. Service was great. Food was good although they had run out of the salmon for the special pasta of the night by 6:00, They replaced it with shrimp and all was well. My spouse had a chicken dish with dried tomatoes. The special part of his dinner was the well... More

A group of us stopped for an early Saturday evening dinner after a matinee. Perfect weather so we got a table outside. Terrific service, very reasonably priced menu. And my inspiration for this review: Best. Gnocchi. Ever. Conveniently located near the theater district on 9th Ave. which isn't so jammed packed with pedestrians, I hope to return to Pietrasanta some... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
