Friendly and high quality of service and food. The home made pasta is beyond perfect and the linguine vongole or any dish including pasta is a must visiting this place. The Tiramisu was excellent with very well balanced ingredients turning this evening and meal into a perfect dinner experience.

When in New York, I always stay at the Belvedere on 48th between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, so Pietrasanta is one of my neighborhood restaurants. The place occupies a prominent corner at 47th Street on Ninth Avenue and the place is always busy. Dining indoors and out with very prompt and attentive service. On my last visit, it was a... More

This is a good Italian restaurant near the theater district. Service was great. Food was good although they had run out of the salmon for the special pasta of the night by 6:00, They replaced it with shrimp and all was well. My spouse had a chicken dish with dried tomatoes. The special part of his dinner was the well... More

A group of us stopped for an early Saturday evening dinner after a matinee. Perfect weather so we got a table outside. Terrific service, very reasonably priced menu. And my inspiration for this review: Best. Gnocchi. Ever. Conveniently located near the theater district on 9th Ave. which isn't so jammed packed with pedestrians, I hope to return to Pietrasanta some... More

Had an enjoyable dinner here on a quiet Sunday night. The pasta was excellent. The location is far enough away from the theater district to be quiet but close enough for a short walk.

This has been our favorite Italian restaurant in NYC for almost 20 years. The food, service and atmosphere are all sublime and you can't beat the location if you're going to the theater or a concert. Their pastas are fresh and very tasty and salads are crisp and flavorful. The wine list is not huge but very dependable and reasonable -... More

We had dinner here, and everything; the food, service, prices, and atmosphere were all excellent. It was full (we had a reservation), and I think that we were the only visitors; the others diners all appeared to be locals. The atmosphere was very festive, with lots of talking and laughter. The service was very good, and the Lasanga was wonderful.... More

I had just taken my sister to a play on 9th and 43rd. After we were hungry and walked up the street to Pietrasanta. The staff were welcoming and tended to us very well. The food was okay. I wouldn't really reccommend it although when hungry after the theatre, it was good to find a place that would still serve... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
