Worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my whole life anywhere in the world. Caricatures of famous people adorn the faded and peeling walls wall but unsurprisingly nobody recent. Walking in we felt as though we were intruding on the staff. Service was appalling. Asked then to make a martini you would have thought we had asked them to... More

Went for glass of wine after matinee...by glass offerings were awful quality but high priced...I get the price scenario but offer something decent...really!

The shrimp were tasty, but the service was abysmal on a Saturday night pre-theater adventure to the upstairs bar for some quick eats and a beverage. The bartenders, one old gent and one extremely elderly old soul with diminished faculties, were unable to keep up. The smaller downstairs bar, run by a youth who was cash register-challenged, was almost vacant,... More

It was so much fun for us to eat at this historic restaurant. Our food was outstanding and our waiter was awesome. I loved looking around the room and seeing all the different picture which makes for a great atmosphere. Everyone in our group thought they had the best meal! Convenient to the theater district for sure.

A white-table cloth, romantic dinner at a corner table for two with my husband at Sardi's in the Times Square theater area. Our server, Bryce, started us with perfect Compari & Cosmopolitan cocktails with an ice slick on top, my definition of perfect! Also, there was a choice of great artisan bread, staff served from a wicker basket. The appetizer... More

We went twice in October 2016. It seems a bit run down....but because of the history of the place you overlook it. And the waitstaff was great. Loved the attention we got because it was not crowded after the show. The salmon was excellent as was the salad...and of course the bread. We also had a strawberry, whipped cream, dash... More

The food was exceptional and the service first class but I don't think either measured up to the hype. Very expensive. $158 for 2 before tip and desert.

restaurant is past its prime. conveniently located near times square and the theatre district. clientele consists of mostly retired. walls are decorated with caricatures of broadway stars, unfortunately, unless you are over 70 years old, most of them are un-known. the food was disappointing. family of four started with a quesadilla appetizer, which was served limp and void of any... Service was great (like good old days) and the wine we chose very good. My food was quite good and the vegetables not overcooked. However, if you are a Baked Alaska fan do not order this one - the cake was stale and the meringue not well done. When I mentioned this fact to our server, she did not offer... More

I've been to Sardi's 3 times now, and each time I'm happy with it. Obviously you are paying for the sizzle as well as the steak, but sometimes the memory it makes is worth it. I don't go to NYC often, but if I am there for a Broadway show, this place kind of caps the experience. Even if you... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
