We just happen to be walking down 44th Street and I saw it I was like wow Sardi's I knew it was a famous restaurant lots of celebrity clientele over the years. We were actually looking for another place to eat but couldn't find it. I told my husband look it's Sardi's he never heard of it. He suggested we... More

This is worth going to just because it has been around forever. It was a large group dinner with a small menu to select from. Everything was good and the service was good. Probably won't go back on my own when in town again.

We were with a tour group, so we had the 3rd floor to ourselves. The food was great and plentiful, the characters' on the walls were fun to look at. The house wines were good, the red and white. The cheese cake was awesome for dessert.

We booked well in advance as it was on our must do list. Had never been before and was not sure what to expect. I did not know if it was just a touristy place or if the food was good. Well, let me tell you, when we arrived, we were seated right away at a nice table and the... More

We visited Sardis on the 11th November for dinner at 7pm. The food was very good, tasty and served quickly even though the restaurant was very busy. We each had a cocktail, starter, main course, a shared desert and a bottle of wine and we were very impressed with the food.

Known for the hundreds of caricatures of show-business celebrities that adorn its walls, Sardi's opened at its current location in 1927. While the Sardi family was Italian, their restaurant's cuisine is not; rather it tends toward "English food", a Continental menu. It was my first time here so I was very excited about the experience. I waked past this place... More

What's not to like about Sardi's. Consistently good and very fast when you need to get to a show on Broadway. The history of all the celebrity visitors to Sardi's over the years told in cartoon drawings surrounding the entire restaurant and provides added entertainment.

Today having pre booked via telecharge I had one of the worst experiences in NYC. We booked and prepaid at 55$ a head a meal via telecharge. It was very average. Setting that aside, the waitress highlighted that the tip was relevant for total bill including wine we ordered. I then had to go to the kitchen to enter my... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
