You might walk past this restaurant and not notice it (we did this), but inside is like going into another world. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, with a menu of suitable variety and creativity. Service was very good quality. Well worth a visit!

Great wine list, wide menu choice. Specials are better than the regular menu, pasta a bit overcooked. Crowd was sparse for a Sunday evening.

On Father's Day, we were visiting NYC, and our son took us to Viceversa dinner. He had ordered a special Pasta Primavera for me and had Lasoncelli ala Bergamasca. Excellent. Great location, atmosphere, service, and friendly

We saw VicaVersa recommend in Lonely Planet and again there recommendation was good. A smart casual location with a comfortable feel. The staff are professional and friendly and make you feel at home. The food is fresh and the pasta dishes very good. It's around a 15 minute walk to most shows on Broadway and they will take orders up... More

We chose this restaurant as my friend is a vegetarian and they seemed to have some good options for her. The food was great, reasonably priced and the service excellent. It was very quiet for a Saturday night but we were told that this was because the city at the weekend in the summer is very quiet. This seemed to... More

We liked the restaurant ambiance very much, however I ordered the ravioli with squid ink and calamari and no one indicated that the dish was terribly spicy. I should have been forewarned. Plus, there was hardly any calamari anywhere. It really was misleading and i would have wanted more guidance on ordering. The caponata appetizer was one of the best... More

Went here for my birthday after a Broadway. Have been before and the food is consistently good as is the service. They also have a prefixed dinner. You cannot go wrong with the food or drinks here and it is close to the theaters. They are also open late.

Hubby and i visited before a matinee on a Sunday and were surprised by how yummy and interesting their food is. Bloody Mary's that are perfectly balanced, eggs Benedict beyond the ordinary, and an egg-white truffle omelette that is really more like a soufflé!

Very inviting restaurant with an out door rear yard with tables for dining set in a garden setting. Very nice bread. A very Italian menu with a lot of interesting culinary compositions. There are small dishes which actually were bigger than expected such as two large veal & mortadella meatballs that were delicious. A second dish was asparagus with fresh... More

Despite this chilly, grey Spring, my colleague & I had a warm, friendly happy hour at the bar with 1/2 price drinks, & delicious appetizers & pasta. The decor is lovely & service very attentive. The bartender recommended particular dishes for me, a vegetarian. We'll definitely go back!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
