They offered 2 salads, (octopus or Cesear), plus 3 hot and fresh pastas (which they continued to replenish) for 25$./ The service was very good. This is a very good place , not excellent but when you are going to the theater you don't want a elegant meal. The location was perfect with a short walk to any of the... More

The food is great and the service is decent; but the wine list and sommeliers are fantastic. You can find Brunellos and Barolos from 1997 - 2004 for prices equivalent to NYC liquor shops.

Becco has a reputation for fabulous food, but if you can't get in to taste it, what's the point? It might as well be Pizza Hut. I had reservations, which I made a week in advance. My guest and I arrived a little early. It was so crowded that we could barely get to the hostess to give her the... More

the monday night pasta was terrible - the bolognese was not good at all, (not the bolognese lydia would make) the tomato and basil was just as bad , and the mushroom ravioli was just ok - in the past, the pasta dishes had at least 2 wonderful choices and one regular - this time, not if they want people... This is your quintessential NYC Restaurant. The wine is a great value. They had an extensive selection of $29.00 wine bottles that tasted great! The short ribs melted in your mouth. The lemon had a lovely light and bright flavor, and the pasta plate was excellent! The Caesar salad was superb! We sat upstairs which was quieter than downstairs.

We dined at Becco a quaint Italian restaurant in the theater area not far from Times Square. We attempted to go for dinner on a Sunday night and the wait time was almost 90 minutes without a reservation. We came back on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch with no problem. They have two small outdoor tables...we dined inside. The service... More

The restaurant is located on an out of the way neighborhood. You step down and you enter a dining room. The 1st floor is crowded and the bar area is over crowded. Towards the kitchen the temp is uncomfortable. However, upstairs was much more comfortable. That being said...close quarters. The food...excellent! They serve an all you can eat 3 pasta... More

Been here before many times, we booked on Opentable to get a table after a broadway show. One of the attractions of this establishment is the tableside pasta, three dishes that change daily. We enjoyed the gnocchi pasta with tomato sauce. They leave the bowl of grated cheese on the table, take as much as you like. Will certainly return.

Booked Becco on Open Table. My husband had the pasta special and I the liver. Both very good. You can't beat their wine list with so many bottles at reasonable prices . Would have like to sit in the main dinning area as the bar was fun but a bit crowded. Service at every point was excellent.

One of the attractions of this popular Restaurant Row establishment is the tableside pasta, three dishes that change daily. We enjoyed a marvelous artichoke ravioli, lamb ragout with fettuccini, and a pasta with tomato sauce. They leave the bowl of grated cheese on the table, take as much as you like. We had the cheese platter for dessert, four cheeses... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
