Never had much luck with this area for dinner but decided to try Becco because of high profile owner and decent reviews. The good was the grilled octopus and Caesar salad. Wines by the glass were fine and a good pour. The all you can eat pasta was average at best. My wife's chicken limone was nothing special and a... More

This restaurant is amazing. Reasonably priced and homemade pastas. Service is great. Location is convenient. Ambience was lovely. But the star is the food! Homemade pasta choices where you are served family style by servers and offered as much as you want! If pasta isn't your thing, don't worry there are plenty of other selections to please your palet! Went to Becco with coworkers after a long days work. This is a very busy place with a lot of small tables and a nice bar area. Took a minute to find our party because there are several dining areas. It was very crowded on a week night. Hard to ignore the specials but one of our party got the... More

This was our second visit to Becco. We were very disappointed in our meal and the service in general. The restaurant was louder than we remembered and the tables were on top of each other. Our pre fix dinner was very disappointing. It was actually bland.

Very fine Italian dining on restaurant row in midtown. My wife and I had a terrific pre-theater dinner. Attentive service and an extensive wine list featuring popular wines at $29 a bottle. From appetizers to entree to dessert, every course was a welcome treat. reservations are a must.

Have been here a few times and it is always great. On the table are olives and bread. For $20 you get an antipasto or caesar salad and all you can eat 3 pastas. While not the best food ever, it is very good, especially given the price level. My antipasto was good with battered/fried veges, a polpo salad and grilled... More

We enjoyed a wonderful pre-theater dinner at Becco on W46th on the evening of Dec. 20! The dining areas at Becco are warm and inviting, the menu selections are very appealing, and the service staff are efficient and accommodating! We greatly enjoyed our starter choices of beet salad and white bean soup! Entrees of Polpette Manzo (3 large meatballs which... More

It was a fantastic meal. The food was great and the price was really good for Broadway. The wine list at $29 dollars and the all you can eat pasta selection was outstanding. Highly recommend for any situation.

I would have rather written a great review but I have to admit I was disappointed. Grant it I had no reservation - but that shouldn't mean anything, right? I had been to a Bastianich restaurant before - quite a few times at Felidia - and loved it! and I get that this is a lower priced version catering to... More

Yes, you will feel rushed before the theatre. Yes, it can get very noisy and crowded. But this restaurant has a lot going for it. The food is so good and trust me, I know what good food is! Chef Billy Gallagher is a master with fish, roasted meats and pasta. The $30 bottle wine list is great. We always... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
