So we had the special lunch but one of the three pastas really seemed under cooked. I mentioned it and they explained that it was "al dente". If I wasn't italian, I might let it go but I can tell you it WASN'T al dente. After further conversation I find out that the pasta came from a box. Huh? I... More

Food is ok. Costolette di Maiale alla Maniera dello Chef Good: Brined double cut pork chop grilled & served alla pizzaiola (green, red yellow peppers, green pepperconini, sweet & hot cherry peppers, onions, tomato & extra virgin olive oil) The Becco's classic Caesar salad that came with the dinner was average. The service was very good.

After watching Master Chef and Lydia's cooking series on PBS, I wanted to try one of their restaurants in New York. Becco is in the theatre district near where we stayed while visiting there. We made a reservation easily within a week on Open Table. We walked right in and sat down to a small crowded and loud dining room.... More

I can not tell you enough how delicious this meal was. Reservation on open table was easy. Bottle of wine was from the Bastianich vinyard and wonderful . A lovely family dinner in a very busy restaurant.

This is my second time here in the last year. We went late one night and found the main room too bright and loud and tired looking - really in need of a renovation. Last week, I made sure we sat on the 2nd floor which I find much more charming and less noisy. We had the pasta prix fixe... More

My daughter, her family and I had dinner in your restaurant this past Sunday. We have all eaten there before and since we enjoyed it, chose to return. The air conditioner was blowing directly on us, making it very cold and uncomfortable. It was shut off for a short time, per our request, but went back on. My son-in-law was... More

Everything was perfect about this dinner. Conveniently located in restaurant row, close to many hotels and local attractions, this is one restaurant I will go back to! Pleasant atmosphere, happy faces, delicious food. Everything was fresh, loved the ability to chose the pasta and seconds, loved the extensive $29 wine list. Everything was perfect, and highly recommend it to anyone... More

Located along Restaurant Row BECCO offers a upscale Italian type menu. The staff is fantastic, truly professional and yet very friendly. The food is even better. I was in NYC for business 9 days. I eat at BECCO three times. It was that good !!

I always try to go to Becco's when I am in the city. I usually have the lunch special but yesterday i tried two appetizers, They were terrific. I started with the polenta with Spec, which is Italian for bacon! Delicious. I had the broiled shrimp with Lydia's special spicy sauce.. Another winner. When you are seated, the server brings... This little gem is located on among a row of other diverse and ethnic restaurants. Our hotel was near Central Park and we had no problem walking to this quaint little street in the theater district. Upon our arrival we were escorted to a table upstairs nestled in a corner- perfect! The waiters immediately brought bread and a wonderful white... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
