So much for the city that never sleeps. Try finding somewhere to eat after a show, there's not much still serving but Mortons is still open for dinner. Started with tuna tower which was delicious. Asked the waiter to split a 16oz Cajun ribeye (all the steaks are massive) between us with creamed spinach and rosti (hash browns) on the... More

Famous US steakhouse chain. Steak perfect. Service professional, except one young blonde hair girl without smile and attitude, so desperately bored (also the chief cook bored). But, ok could happen. You receive your cheque without asking for, immediately after you say "no deserts, thanks". Uff. Like a signal - pay and leave! Slightly overpriced. 100 USD per person without TIP... More

We have been loyal Morton's customers for years and were disappointed with the overall service in other Morton's locations when Landry's took over. But our recent visit to the Manhattan location changed all that. We were greeted with smiling faces as soon as we arrived, shown quickly to our table, and wonderful service throughout the evening. Plus...I had perhaps the... More

If you only have 1 day to sample a Steak House in NYC come here! From the secluded beatific room in 5th avenue, to the old time bartender that has been here for 20 year, to the new polish immigrant with impeccable service, not to mentions the manager: Maria who is very lovely. This place is a winner. Come for... More

Not as good as the Miami set of Mortons but pretty good nevertheless. Expected menu which delivers! Great steaks and salads.

This meal was the best in NYC. Steak outstanding, onion bread to die for with onion jam. Every part of the meal was given the full attention by the staff!

This is a perfect place to go to have lunch or dinner during NYC Restaurant week. For $29 lunch you have plenty of choices for appetizer, main course and dessert. For an appetizer I selected a Caesar salad, which was quite good; for main course I selected double-cut pork chop, which was excellent, and so was the sour cream mashed... More

Everything was top notch from the service to the food. Splurge and get the hot chocolate cake (takes 30 minutes to make) that comes with a scoop of ice cream. You won't be disappointed.

Pros: good food, good service, nice environment Cons: could not find any. We visited during the restaurant week. The food was excellent in spite of the cheaper restaurant week price. Service did not diminish because of the lower price. We were served like any other guests. Service was good and friendly as well as attentive. I will definitely come back... More

Morton's is akin to all the other higher-end steak schleppers we all know and generally love like Ruth's, Shulas, etc. You get a nice steak, perfectly cooked, decent sides for the table to share, and a slice of pie large enough to share for four. If you really want a special steak in NY there are better choices that have... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
