The decor is rustic and the food is reliable. The service can be spotty. My favorite dish is the beet pasta. The pizza is good. Their other location has a fantastic view.

One of the better pizza places with a great choice of wine and comfortable setting. Staff is great and very attentive. We arrived late in the evening but we were not rushed to finish even though we were the last to leave. Such a great restaurant.

Great Italian on Greenwich Street. The setting is Tuscan barn. Over lunch, we discussed the precise difference between "atmosphere" and "ambience" (English is not our native language) and decided Gigino's have great ambiance. Great food too! Nice staff, nice everything.

I have to compare this food to the same great places to eat in the north end of Boston! Being that I was brought up in a itlaian neighbor hood in Boston I know good itlaian foods! The serve was excellent and the breads serve were just like homemade. The drinks from the bartender were perfect and the price was... More

Food was ok, no more no less. View is great however interior seems a bit outdated (depends on where you are seated, other side seamed nicer) Plates were not too clean, portions were ok.

We dined at Gigino on a Saturday night and had a fantastic meal. Our party was six voices and to children. Our server Martina was friendly, professional, and courteous. The food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed there meals. Though I recommend not ordering the steak.

We were here on a busy Saturday evening but our server was prompt, friendly and helpful. The food is excellent; there were six of us and we all enjoyed our meal. I had a shrimp and angel hair pasta which was delicious. It was a bit difficult to converse as the tables are very close together and it was a... More

Delicious pizzas (rather than pasta). Beautiful park across the road. And friendly staff. A fun, casual afternoon in TriBeCa .

Full of locals. Food is mostly homemade and delicious. Solid Italian fare by it's namesake Gigi (Luigi). Best Linguini w clams by far. Great variety of interesting salads.

Went with friends last week and it was very nice. Good service and helpful if you ask how the dish is prepared. Nice wine selection, although wines have just gone up everywhere in price. It's crazy. There were four of us. I had the red snapper special, served on top of risotto with veggies, my friends had the bowtie pasta... More

Gigino Trattoria opened its doors in August of 1994. The owners, Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez, along with executive chef Luigi Celentano, have kept Gigino flourishing in the ever-changing Tribeca neighborhood. Chef Celentano creates both the menu and wine list, with daily specials of seasonally fresh seafood, game and vegetables. Gigino prides itself on the fact that all their dishes are prepared to order and almost all their pastas and breads are house-made. Fresh fish specials are featured on the “specials blackboard” daily, and it’s safe to say we also have the best pizza in Tribeca! Dining at Gigino Trattoria is a pleasure every time!

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
