We had dinner here on a recent visit to NYC and we will go back.Love the TriBeCa area and this has loads of that Italo-American atmosphere. Food was good and staff were pleasant and engaging.

We were staying nearby at the Conrad and could walk to this wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious, we all had pastas. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and you got a real feel of the neighborhood. We were here for Christmas Dinner. It's very much like a true Italian restaurant, the tables are close to each other and there's... More

We ate here on a recent trip to New York City to visit my daughter and we're very pleasantly surprised. We ordered a variety of items. The calamari was excellent, asparagus soup was very good, the chicken parmesan, gnocchi with meatballs and beef cannelloni all outstanding. The service was very good. It was a little loud like previous reviewers said... More

We had dinner our first night during our last stay in NYC at this very nice restaurant at the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel. We loved the place and the raviolini and ravioli which we had that night. On our last day we went back to have lunch and were equally pleased. Wonderful food and good service.

The menu and reviews looked very good . Unfortunately it was quite Disappointing. Food was bland and tasteless. The bread was not even good . The place was crowded and noisy. I wouldn't return .

First off, before or after you go here you have to see the Danny Aiello movie Dinner Rush which was 90% shot here. My wife and I like to come here when we make it into the neighborhood. The service is friendly and the food is generally superior. Atmosphere is nice without being kitchy Italian. Chicken Scarpariello was excellent as... More

The service was a little relaxed but they did have great pacing and brought items correctly, also moved off the olive oil at dessert time (those type of little touches that make it feel more special). Food was good, nothing that special but it was relatively authentic. The decor is just slightly "kitschy Italian restaurant" with some faux finishes and... More

I loved this restaurant. My daughter and her friends we're celebrating her sweet 16 at a restaurant nearby. My wife and I popped in for a quick meal. Beautiful setting and great service. Wines by the glass list was a little weak. I would go back.

Gigino Trattoria opened its doors in August of 1994. The owners, Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez, along with executive chef Luigi Celentano, have kept Gigino flourishing in the ever-changing Tribeca neighborhood. Chef Celentano creates both the menu and wine list, with daily specials of seasonally fresh seafood, game and vegetables. Gigino prides itself on the fact that all their dishes are prepared to order and almost all their pastas and breads are house-made. Fresh fish specials are featured on the “specials blackboard” daily, and it’s safe to say we also have the best pizza in Tribeca! Dining at Gigino Trattoria is a pleasure every time!

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
