I loved this restaurant. My daughter and her friends we're celebrating her sweet 16 at a restaurant nearby. My wife and I popped in for a quick meal. Beautiful setting and great service. Wines by the glass list was a little weak. I would go back.

My husband and I have been coming to Gigino for over twenty years. The atmosphere, service and food are always excellent. In the last year, we have brought our two teenagers with us. They love when we take them there. Appetizers, pizzas, pastas and entrees never disappoint. The neighborhood is great and you have the option of eating outside when... More

Had lunch with a friend today and loved my food. We split a salad with beets, squash, tomatoes, goat cheese, it was delicious. My individual size pizza with artichoke, mushrooms, cheese and tomato sauce was perfect! The service was wonderful.

We were just drop-ins, still suffering from jet lag on our first night in NY and feeling more like a sleep than a meal but knowing that we should have something. This is not a small restaurant with many tables to choose from, including outside eating to inside and a mezzanine section. We were shown to our table and quickly... More

Everyone ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their meal. The noise made me uncomfortable. Also, very difficult to get around the restaurant - high step up (which I could not navigate) and other steps without railings. If the noise were not such a distraction, I would have rated the restaurant a 5.

The decor is rustic and the food is reliable. The service can be spotty. My favorite dish is the beet pasta. The pizza is good. Their other location has a fantastic view.

One of the better pizza places with a great choice of wine and comfortable setting. Staff is great and very attentive. We arrived late in the evening but we were not rushed to finish even though we were the last to leave. Such a great restaurant.

Gigino Trattoria opened its doors in August of 1994. The owners, Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez, along with executive chef Luigi Celentano, have kept Gigino flourishing in the ever-changing Tribeca neighborhood. Chef Celentano creates both the menu and wine list, with daily specials of seasonally fresh seafood, game and vegetables. Gigino prides itself on the fact that all their dishes are prepared to order and almost all their pastas and breads are house-made. Fresh fish specials are featured on the “specials blackboard” daily, and it’s safe to say we also have the best pizza in Tribeca! Dining at Gigino Trattoria is a pleasure every time!

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
