Busy, but a cut above the average lunch place. Great service, expensive, but more relaxed than a similarly priced, stuffy eatery. Very good food - hard to go wrong here.

If quitness is what your looking for this is not the place to go. You will have to accept the noise of a busy, bar meets grill and very popular restaurant. Butt let's stick to busines: food is just great, for NYC standards the prices are fair, the cocktails are outstanding and the service is very friendly and helpful on... More

We decided to return to Odeon after being away for a few years. The place is still going strong but now that I'm a tad older and wiser, I can't see paying $15.00 for a tiny (think of those dinky champagne glasses you get a wedding.) for a glass of wine. I asked for a glass of chardonnay and was... More

Been here a couple of times and every time got the experience of a great French brasserie. Good salads, nice hamburger, great selection of wines, professional waiters. I love to go here on my own, take a seat close to the bar, take a caesar salad and read the NY Times! Espresso is ok!

Great place. Simple menu. No wait. We ate at the bar. Good fun and great service. Two blocks from Chambers subway station.

This is always my family's favorite place for breakfast when we are in NYC. Literally the best French toast I have ever had.

Ordered the steak, chicken, and trout small plates and they were not kidding, only a few pieces of steak and chicken. I was scratching my head because the container seem so much bigger for the steak and chicken that it looks like the delivery guy has been munching on them. The trout on the other hand was quite generous and... More

We had to wait for other guests to join us. Nobody pushed us to the bar like most places. We were very. friendly offered the option to seat comfortably or to have a drink. I think places where you are not pushed are becoming so rare that they diserve a special appreciation. Now let's seat at the table. Atmosphere was... More

I was embarrassed when the entrée salads were placed in front of my friend and me right after I told her the restaurant does not disappoint...the meager amount of Caesar salad was served on saucer sized plates! Way back in the 1980's, "nouvelle cuisine" was trendy...judging by the salads we had...it still is at this eatery.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
