Put this on the list as one of the best plates of steak tartare that I have ever tried. The whiskey sour I had to wash it all down with was excellent. Thank for the drink Z! This is the kind of place that I like to go sit at the bar, have a few drinks and light bites, and... More

Dropped in on recommendation of a friend. Glad we did, as it's the best brunch we had during the trip. Croquet Monsieur was historic, as good as any I had in Paris. Nice ambiance and great service.

Great food and service for brunch. We stopped in while walking by and sat at the bar. The food did not disappoint.

After coming out of minus 7 temperatures outside in January you immediately felt warn as you came in the door! It had a busy nice atmosphere on a Saturday evening. I felt like I was transported to a bistro in Paris or South of France. We had a lovely table, the food and service were excellent. No one rushed you... More

My wife and I went to The Odeon on a recent trip to New York. The restaurant is conveniently located near several subway lines. We arrived a few days after it had been favorably reviewed in the New York Times. It was packed at 7 pm on a weeknight. It was very noisy in spite of noise dampening ceiling tiles... More

By now, a virtual NYC institution. Still turning out French classics, and doing it well. On our most recent visit, we had their superb burger and an excellent moules frites, with a rich chocolate pudding for dessert.

One of the best diners in town, The Odeon is an institution. The food is excellent, the service is fast and the clientele is a scene. Very approachable, sit down to dine with friends or come for a drink alone at the bar at happy hour to meet the beautiful and interesting Tribeca crowd. A happy place for happy people,... More

In the last day of our family visit we dined with two families at The Odeon. We kind of are used to New York prises ... Although we are spoiled eating well pretty often, our expectations were surpassed. Friendly staff. Classic menu. Great atmosphere. Fantastic drinks. Not too big portions. Just very very well prepared food. We loved it!

We ate here two hours after arriving on a 12 hour international flight. Picked the place based on our hostesses recommendation, as it was even blocks from our apartment. Food and service were very good.

On the way to airport, we decided to have the last American meal at the Odeon! Love it!! Super nice service , small misunderstanding, but absolutely nothing to jeopardize the all lunch. Food was good and drinks too ( linchburg lemonade was great!) Price ok and location just what I need from Ana American restaurant with a touch of France!

Thank FPpalocco

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
