It is absolutely very enjoyable place. Restaurants are good. Foods are delicious. It is very cozy turistic place. Shops are little expensive if you want to buy a gift from there. But, I still like the place. If you like gelato or desert, I strongly recommend Ferrara Bakery.

The weather was amazing for August! We were able to eat outside and not be uncomfortable. The restaurateurs were out encouraging us to come eat, but not obnoxious. The gelato was amazing!

When I was a child, my father took us to manhattan to see the Radio City Music show every year the week before Christmas, then we'd have a late lunch in Chinatown and top off the evening with a pastry and coffee in one of the many cafes along mulberry street. My father would talk with friends and play scopa... More

Great variety of restaurants and a great night out. Very busy with lots of people but rightly so. Can do some shopping and grab some great authentic Italian food and sweets. Very close to Chinatown - a block over.

I do love browsing through Mulberry St in Little Italy. It is smaller than one might think - having been swallowed up a bit by Chinatown (which I do not like - too dirty and clustered.) Lots of reasonable NYC souvenirs to be had here and many great Italian eating choices.

Historical although many of the older places have been replaced. Can find a good Italian diner at a good price, most have out door seating which I like. Walk around and don't jump into first restaurant you see! Shop the specials!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
