Ordered Pork Chop Noodle Soup which came deconstructed, pork with picked mustard green rice cake soup and also pork with pickled mustard green stir fried noodles. 3 similar dishes but all different. I like the place. Marinated duck soup sounded good for maybe another time.

But for the price I won’t complain. It tastes great and the wonton soup is spot on. First time I have the Taiwanese specialty “wen Zhou” wonton outside of Taiwan.

Most dishes are around $6-7. Taste are good, especially if you want to try taiwan food. I haven’t tried side dishes yet but they look very appealing. In a great location - far end of China town with quite a few restaurants. Excellent for the price you pay and fun

Looks like kind of a dumb bit it’s on a cool street in Chinatown and my Taiwanese associate said the food is pretty authentic. And soooo cheap!

This place is right across Chinatown Post Office on Doyers Street and I was their customer many years ago. Seems now they have improved and expanded their menus (perhaps new owner?), but keep the favorite oldies like the delicious Braised Chicken Soup with lots of chicken in it, take the chicken out, add some soy and hot sauces and a bowl of rice and it's a good lunch. Their deep fried chicken legs and pork chops are delicious, you can order them with or without rice or noodles. Wonton with Spicy oil is spicy and awesome too. I also love love their Subgum Stir Fried Rice Cake with beef, chicken, pork veggie and shrimp -- rice cake is like Chinese gnocchi, mix with all the goodies and nice brown sauce, it's yummy. Of course, all the noodle soups are great too. Also I believe they are famous for their desserts, though I haven't had a chance to try them yet. In addition, some reviewers complained about service, I found them to be very nice and efficient, perhaps I don't have a language problem? Oh, as of now, they only take cash.

My son wanted to eat in Chinatown and we stumbled upon the Taiwan Pork Chop House. We had pork chop dinner over rice, Beef stew over rice, Shanghai Style fried rice and fried crispy shrimp. All this for only $25. We all enjoyed our meal and the service was very quick. They bring you hot tea as soon as you sit down and also water. This was a small restaurant and we were very lucky to get a table. Would love to go back and try something else.

This restaurant does not have fancy decoration or neon at its storefront and could be easily overlooked when you walked pass by. However, if you are looking for real authentic Taiwanese cuisine in Chinatown, you should not miss this place. I walked pass this restaurant totally by accident but was very satisfied with the traditional Taiwanese "small eat", aka, appetizer/tapas style street food that was served here: the salt and pepper chicken, the oyster omelette (pancake), the herbal soup, the shaved ice, the Taiwanese pork chop....etc. Even the simple dishes such as noodle soup and vegetable rice are so delicious. Don't expect the tablecloth service here, but the service here is fast and good. Unlike many Dim Sum restaurants in New York's Chinatown where the servers and managers are rude and arrogant, the staff here are courteous and work fast. Extra bonus: the price is really reasonable.

Food was very good. I had fried chicken on rice plus hot and sour soup and price was right. The iced mango dessert was also good. Order taker was not very good- and had brought 2 wrong items for our party of 7pax. A little bit difficult to communicate. Maybe best to have her repeat orders before going to the kitchen.

The porkchop over rice along with veggies and a minced pork sauce is exceptionally flavorful. The Taiwanese ices are great for dessert

Seems like the place is frequented by students. The menu offers soups for $2.20 and main dishes for 5 - 6 dollars. Also, jellyfish salad was good and inexpensive. I would recommend this place for dining on a budget but won't come for culinary experience. Comfy food. They are cash-only.

Hole in the wall authentic Chinese place. We were touring NYC w my family and my cousin took us here insisting their pork chop rice is the best. We got four chop rice, my daughter wanted the wonton noodle soup, oyster pancake, hot oil wonton, marinades tofu, and lotus root a sweet rice. Pork chop rice was pretty good but my pork chop was tough at certain area, I didn't care about the lotus w sweet rice and the wonton noodle soup looked just ok. The oyster pancake was pretty good.

OMGosh--- DEEEEELICIOUS!!! I'm afraid to write this review as I don't want it to get too crowed, but I want them to have continued business and others to experience the delicious joy :) And my toddler who is an incredibly picky eater ate so much & had a great time which translates into mommy and daddy having a relaxing time. My son enjoyed the mirrored wall and open space - wasn't cramped like other Chinatown eateries. We had: Pork Chop over rice Chicken leg over rice Wonton with spicy oil Sampled my sister-in-law's : herbal chicken soup (just like mom's) and cucumber salad w jellyfish (great flavor) Can't wait to come back for more and try the shaved ice dessert! Only downside was it's a little out of the way from any subway, but well worth the mini-trek. Came on a Saturday night at 6:45pm and seated right away. I've since gone back a few times including for take-out and my Dad who is from Taiwan loves it.

Big fan of the pork chops. Dusted with a surprising spice mix that makes me want to order more. Also love the pork soup. Surprisingly rich for a simple clear broth.

This restaurant happens to be right next door to one of my favorite restaurants (Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles) and it's sometimes a toss-up as to which one I go to. This has better seating and the best pork chops around, nice and crispy and flavorful. Their hot oil wontons are mouth burning but plump and filling. This is definitely THE place to go if you have a fried pork chop fix, can't be beat.
