Hole in the wall authentic Chinese place. We were touring NYC w my family and my cousin took us here insisting their pork chop rice is the best. We got four chop rice, my daughter wanted the wonton noodle soup, oyster pancake, hot oil wonton, marinades tofu, and lotus root a sweet rice. Pork chop rice was pretty good but... More

OMGosh--- DEEEEELICIOUS!!! I'm afraid to write this review as I don't want it to get too crowed, but I want them to have continued business and others to experience the delicious joy :) And my toddler who is an incredibly picky eater ate so much & had a great time which translates into mommy and daddy having a relaxing time.... Big fan of the pork chops. Dusted with a surprising spice mix that makes me want to order more. Also love the pork soup. Surprisingly rich for a simple clear broth.

This restaurant happens to be right next door to one of my favorite restaurants (Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles) and it's sometimes a toss-up as to which one I go to. This has better seating and the best pork chops around, nice and crispy and flavorful. Their hot oil wontons are mouth burning but plump and filling. This is definitely THE place... More

As a long-time New Yorker, I have eaten Chinese food many many times. But with a trip to Hong Kong and Taiwan coming up in a few months, I thought it would be fun to search out a Taiwanese restaurant. Excellent Pork Chop House gets good ratings, and it is on one of those little streets in Chinatown that you... More

Nothing like the classic chop house in London or old British towns but we liked what they did here. We had a good selection of very tasty dishes. Bit of a wait as we obviously handy judged the time right. Liked the Taiwanese take on several choices.

The pork chops are nicely done and I found the chicken soup is actually better than Din Tai Fung's version! For the price, this can't be beat.

Two of us for lunch. I had pork chop (3 small ones) on rice ($5.25) Not at all what I expected. Not fried. If it were, all breading fell off. It was over rice with cabbage and pickled veggies. Everything was fresh, but only OK. Friend had chicken leg—fried; was good but only 2 small ones over rice ($5.25). Restaurant... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
